Actually, noone can tell for noone has tried before.
IF you can still manage to get his speed to 80, agility to 70 and strength to 60 - just go for it and TRY OUT!
Most guys wouldn't try, for they aim for high speed/agility (95+/80+) - but maybe you can build a great hard hitter here and noone has discovered yet? Sure will be hard to find the right balance in order to get him to some ball carriers in time - but when tackling, maybe the higher tackling makes a huge difference?
Good luck anyway!

Don't let these guys kid you.
It's good to have because then your SA you don't need to worry about sure tackler, power tackler, etc. You can focus more on the passing side for your guy.

And . . . you'll always be extremely slow because all your early high-capped level ups went to tackling instead of speed.
If all you want is to not miss tackles, you don't need anywhere near 77 tackling.

Tackling also serves as a big component in forcing fumbles.

pretty sure I remember Bort saying it was the biggest single component. Could be wrong, though.

No, you're right. Tackling is the biggest factor in FFum.

Getting to the player is the sole greatest factor in forcing a fumble.
Then tackling, then strength, then energy and morale.

2 or 3 seasons ago I got my hands on this replay (would never be able to track it down again) where it was one of the worst built SS's I had ever seen. This player had something like 70 speed, 34 agility, 40 strength, 78 tackling. He was in the grasp of being blocked by the WR2, about 10 or 15 yards downfield on the strongside. Somehow, with the HB already past him, the play stopped. The HB was literally about 5 yards behind him, while being blocked, and he made the tackle. Now I do believe at the high levels, just about any SS needs to have 90-100 speed, and 70 agility just for the sake of keeping up with everyone else, but I think there is something to be said about obscenely high tackling skills.
