what does carrying do? does this just keep you from getting the ball stripped? or does this help with bringing in the ball quicker after catching? or just over all improve you YAC? what exactly does it do?

there are so many attributes to train, as a speed WR ive neglected this for speed agility vision and catching. it seems like its an attribute that possession WRs train. how much do i need to pay attention to Carrying?

I believe if I'm not mistaken, catching is a two step process (as per Bort's post a few months back). Its the catch and then carry. To minimize dropping the ball when getting hit, you have to also work on your carrying attribute.

Recommended points on it? Well, its tough to give a number. Just make sure that you keep it within like 5 to 7 SP off your Catching attribute.

I would think that capping it would be fine, but I could be mistaken.

I have seen WRs be successful with 40 carrying for helping with catching. Bort confirmed in the past month that it does help with carrying the football, or rather how you move with the ball. The new question is how effective is carrying for pulling off moves and how much do you need to get to that point. Carrying in the WR community has been largely neglected so there isn't a lot of data there and for the data that is there, the guys usually are very high strength.

i'm trying to build a WR who is heavy on the carrying & fakes and it's very difficult. way too many important attributes.

I have a lower leveled WR who is doing mostly returning right now but I'm going to give him high HF and high carrying. I'm mainly doing it to test to see if I should do it for my other WR but I'll post here once I see how it works, will be awhile though he is just lvl 22.

You'll also want high agility.

I'd say 68-70 agility is the minimum (as Bort classifies very high agility at 70). Then you will want +60 carrying min., 68 preferably and 48 vision min perhaps, but I'm guessing 60-68 might be preferable. The carrying and vision amounts are guesses. Look at RBs who spin, how much agility, vision, and carrying do they have? Reverse engineer from there.

RBs who spin have 60+ (preferably 68+) carrying, 70+ agi, and vary completely in vision...so uh...yeah what he said?

Correct. People seem to think the Catching attribute only is what keeps the drops down. Which isn't the case. Bort said before Carrying also helps bring the ball in quicker on top of holding on to it after a hit.
