I just rolled up a +3 agi +1 Diving Tackle SA. Is it worth dumping funds into as a DE?

The 3agi is very nice, but diving tackle is meh at best.

I've already got a +8 Agi/+4 Big Sack AEQ I've maxxed out for a while and was looking for something new. I'll keep getting tokens and seeing if anything else pops out.

Big Sack is pretty much useless too...Waste of a good AE spot..Aim for First Step, Tunnel Vision, Shed Block.

I'd pick up the diving tackle piece and try it. Especially with the big agility bonus. I'm not really too sure what's going on with diving tackle. Bort has claimed that it's almost overpowered before, but I don't really see it. But I may have not been looking at the right things. If it doesn't seem to help any, then look for another piece towards the end of the season.

is it just me or is there now an unbelieveable number of diving tackles in a game? or is it that now all diving tackles are now labelled as such, whereas before they werent?

I suppose they weren't getting labeled as such before. I wish he'd put a post about it where I wouldn't have to scour the forums to find out what was fixed. Unfortunately he doesn't operate that way.

i think it will be that now theyre just labelled so we know when they happen. i see a spate of jump training and capping advice coming along

Yep, there's a bunch of diving tackles now for some reason. I remember seeing them when I first built my LB and I haven't seen any at all until now.

Makes sense. I often had decent jumping on my LBers since it's such a good training pair (strength, stamina, vision, tackling) and they typically posted good tackle numbers. I suspect a lot of tackles were diving tackles in the past.

I believe the diving tackle PBP notification was off last season, and has been turned back on.
