Honestly, I couldn't be happier about this matchup. Not that we are over confident or anything, but I think we can win this game. It will let us know early in the season where the Flames stand among the leagues elite. Last season ESL murdered us game one, then we went on a very nice streak of dominant play and fell apart end season. This year we look vastly improved.

I wouldnt be surprised if you guys pull an upset. The problem we had last year is that we really didnt figure out the sim until after we faced Pa Dong. This year we have to be on the money week 1 with our tactics because we go straight from the Flames to ESL. One little error in AI can win this game for either side

For this game i would pick the marauders but i have my worries, sometimes SM is slow out the gate.

we were using Season 8 tactics last season for Game 1 vs ESL, and Game 2 vs whoever we played. When we lost in the playoffs, I changed our entire offense to be based around Strong I just to see if that's what we SHOULD have done since everyone else was doing. We ended up kicking but using those tactics in our final scrimmages. Then Bort changed the sim (as it needed to be changed) but we never changed our tactics heading into Season 9.

The horrible loss to ESL was based upon activity, not because our team was so much worse.

We may have still lost, but that's what happened.

And when we fell apart late in the season, it was because I quit as DC after the Tweetys game. I almost quit GLB in general because I was sick and damn tired of the sim changing so drastically every season. Seems like I'm back into now, though, and we got a couple new AI helpers, which should help keep AI organized. You know how hard it is to run OC+DC all by yourself? Trust me, it's next to impossible. Glad those days are over.

Ouch, fucking statistics!

Despite those losses, I do think the Flames are currently an underrated team. I expect big things from them this season, they are top 4 in Garuda conference in my oppinion.

We have beaten plenty of Naga teams in scrims since we got here. Season 6 was AAA, the previous year we beat the Garudas for the AA championship. I fail to see how either game is relevant. The Flames are a big fan of the Garudas, they are our biggest out of conference rival and we have both taken championships from the other. I'm relatively sure the Garudas wouldn't count a game against the Flames as an automatic win if we were on their schedule (and we likewise wouldn't either).

We will show you guys what we are all about this season. We have some wins against some very quality squads up here, and have lost nail biters to some of the best teams in the league. This year we emerge as a serious threat to our conference and perhaps the SuperWok,
