16. Pittsburgh Steel- Have alot of great players, but they need about 30 more.

15. Columbus Woodys- They have the talent to get in the picture a little bit, but just couldn't ever get going last season, minor improvements keep this team fighting for relegation.

14. New Jersey Blaze- Its tough to rank the new teams. But they are under leveled at a few major positions.

13. Cleveland Buckeyes- Tough to rank them, but I don't see them adjusting to Pro ball as well as they should.

12. Washington Slashers- I think they will be in it for a while, but the depth of the league will catch up to them.

11. Detroit Demon Lions- TSE started out hot last year before fading off, this season will continue their struggles, but a late season streak will save their season.

10. Washington Bullets- This East is deeper than last years imo, they made a run last year but just couldnt grab that eighth spot, I think they are 1 year away.

9. Richey Royals- Their defense kept them in most of the games last year. If they can score this season they will be higher.

8. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice- A good team that I have seen before. They will adjust fairly well getting the 8th playoff spot. The top of the East is very tough to get in with, but I think season 11 they may be top 3 or 4 in the East.

7. Carolina Hammer- The best defense in the East. If the offense shows up this year they may soar up the rankings.

6. Over the Rhine Red Dots- My sleeper team. Made some upgrades to an already talented team. Less SI=Moar wins. OTR will see that this season.

5. Indianapolis Gurupies- A really solid team that come playoff time is a nightmare for anyone.

4. Northwest Arkansas Naturals- The best passing game in USA Pro. Added alot of top talent, and has the most talented team in team history, could be much lower or higher based on the sim of season 10.

3. Alpine Golfers- Even with NAN at this point. Alpine, Gurupies, and NAN will be fighting for homefield in the playoffs all year. Alpine proved to be a top team last year, as they throw their hat in with the big dogs again this season.

2. Cincinatti Shockers- My pick to meet NAN in the Conference Title Game in season 10. They have always been a great squad in USA Pro, it's time to see if they can step up and win the CCG.

1. ***Offical*** Footballguys- Can't under estimate the Champs. I dont think they will finish number 1 this season, but they are the champs and hold their title. One of the more interesting story lines in the game, how much will a change of ownership help or hurt them? I think the defense will improve making this team a top 3 team in the East.

Thanks for putting these together guys. East doesn't seem quite as top heavy as last year. Really spots 3-12 or so seem like tossups to me.

Brought in a bunch of new guys, not nearly as under leveled as we've been for the past few seasons.

It is extremely difficult to rank the new teams.

Thanks dolphan. It's nice to see the east get some ranking love as even though the East has been dominating the title game the past seasons, the west always has the more active forum presence.

I had a little time so did a ranking as well

*** Good bye ***

16 Pitt Steel- They have only about 20 players on their team with 10 of them inactive. I hope everyone enjoys playing them because it'll probably be the only easy win you get in the east.

*** Fighting to stay in Pro ***

15 Buckeyes- Going 11-5 in AAA isn't that encouraging. Not to mention it's not like they finally put it all together as they finished the regular season 2-3. Two playoff upsets and no real scrimmages isn't enough for me to put them any higher.

14 Woodys- I want to believe they'll pull it together this season as they've always been a solid organization. However, after last season, it's hard to put them higher considering what normally is a spiraling effect when you have a season like last year.

*** Safe from relgation ***

13 Blaze- A bit underleveled at places but a solid organization. It's encouraging they went 6-1 to close the reg season and 4 straight at the end (including beating the AAA powerhouse Fins). Would've been nice to see them test themselves against a pro team at some point but they'll get plenty of that this season.

12 Slashers- Watch out for these guys. They can be giant killers. Solid organization that will be on the outside look in this season, but i predict them to get at least 2 upsets against playoff teams. I think there will be a learning curve this season but they're still dangerous.

11 Demon Lions- Miserable season for the Lions. They finished with 4 straight to end but by beating 2 gutjobs, the woodys who admitted to giving up, and the steel. They did well against some solid non-us pro teams but i think usapl has lapped tse at this point. If they start out 1-5 or something like that, watchout for the gut. Will tse really every gut though?

*** Tier 3 battling for last playoff spots ***

10 Royals- Pulled off the upset of the reg season beating the gamblers but only 1 other win worth noting over the carolina. Their defense is stout but will have to play much better overall to keep up with a deeper overall conference. Won't be 4 easy wins like there was last season.

9 Bullets- They had a wildly inconsistent season. They had great wins against Alpine and Indy but also losses to the Steel and South Bay. They'll be fighting for one of the last 2 playoff spots but i think ultimately will fall a wee bit short

8 Carolina- Wins over OFG, MM, NAN, and the Bullets shows that this is a real playoff team. They're going to have to avoid 7 game losing streaks like last year though. They lost some squeakers last year during that streak but will have to improve to keep up with a deep east this year.

7 Porcelain Mice- The only team moving up in the east that looks worth its salt. Going 15-1 and winning your championship definitely means business. It would've been nice to see them try their luck against a pro team last year as AAA success doesn't always guarantee pro wins. I think they'll make the playoffs but without pro scrimmages to judge them, it's hard to put them higher

*** Tier 2 battling for home playoff spots***

6 OTR- Lots of solid agents contributing and a mini-merger should have them back in the playoffs. They have lots of talent, cooter came back, and they seem interested in actually trying this season. Most important improvement was addition by subtraction. I don't think i even have to go there.

5 Gurupies- Most underrated team in usapl. They avoided upsets and won the games they were supposed to. Brought in some great players from Margaritaville including their stud QB/WR. Adding fanaticsfins as a GM can only help their offense. I expect them to make the playoffs and fight for a home game

4 Golfers- Had a great first pro season getting the 4th spot in the east with reg season wins over OFG and Indy, plus tournament wins against MM and making the hazy elite 8. Lost a OT game to the Shockers in the reg season and were in the playoff game against champs OFG until the last 2 minutes. We added a lot of great pieces this off season, but we won a lot of close games last year and will have to get lucky if we want a home playoff game. Can the Cav 1-man show actually improve on last year's record? We'll have to see

3 NAN- Talk about highs and lows. They dominated a top notch Alpine team, beat the OFGs early on, but also lost to DDL, OTR and the Hammer. They need to improve consistency this season and it looks like they brought in a ton of new players. I think they'll be in the playoffs no doubt this year, unlike last year where they got in beating a gutjob in week 16. This is a big leap for them but they have a ton of really active agents, and a otherworldly passing attack. The big question is their defense playing up to snuff.

*** Tier 1 battling for #1 seed***

2 OFG- Defending champs going through a bit new ownership. Had the best playoff run maybe in GLB history and won tons of tourney games. If they can avoid their usual early season sleepwalking, they could be fighting for the 1seed. The rest of the East i think improved a lot so the gap might be slightly closer than last year. No one wants to go up against the versatility these guys have on offense.

1 Shockers- I think they're the best team in the east this year. Although, i think there are a number of teams who could fall into this spot. More competition from top to bottom in the east means more chances for upsets and lolsims. Impossible to guarantee a #1 seed to anyone. Not a lot to say about the Shockers. One of the more quiet teams around but also they may be the best in USAPL. Dominated tourney games last season and cruised to a home playoff game. I expect more dominance.

Totally, and I'm not saying I have any idea where we end up, it could very well be 12th or higher or lower. Just thought that was worth mentioning.

Played Dryden a few seasons ago and got killed, more on specials than O/D though. Made sure we strengthened our depth majorly after I heard we were getting the move up.

It's good you guys got more players. It's hard without season 9 pro scrimmages to have any team ranked that high. The Mice are only that high because they dominated AAA1. Recruiting will be even easier next year when you've been in pro a season

I think it is safe to say that will be true as long as we show we can compete.
