Warrior General Games

This is the first season I will try to handle defensive AI settings. Even though its just a peewee league, I still could use any tips or shared general knowledge on how various settings work.

I suppose my main job is to stop the run and short to medium passes - is using short zone coverage (cover 1-2) the right way to do that or.. ?

Any advice is welcome for a newbie coach :-)

#1 - stop the HB run
#2 - stop the QB run
#3 - stop the FB run
#4 - repeat #1-3

Stop the QB sweeps is your first job. They are deadly, QB's ALWAYS lead the league in rushing yards, unless maybe there is an amazing HB.

Use very little zone coverage, the safeties are wasted in deep zones.

Blitz from the outside...stops outside runs, and QB runs.
