Is jumping important to a D-line build?

If so, DT and DE, one or the other?

jumping is important for every defensive position. It's not a priority, but it's worth training up as a d-linemen.

at a late level though, to round him off.

jumping helps you tackle better (increased radius) and knock down passes. very important for CB's, then Safeties, then linebackers, then finally d-linemen.

but it's like carrying for a QB - very important to prevent fumbles, however you probably won't hit it up until throwing, vision, strength, confidence, and even speed and agility get capped.
