Would this be a good idea? I mean high speed than vision being the second attribute.

Any examples, where to play them, or anything like that would be great!

Haha, I knew Deathblade's guy would come up. I have seen a boost over last season with my LB since getting him +4 Super Vision from AEQ, but his vision is only around 60. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=250944

What's funny is death blade used to flame linebackers with vision.

best linebacker in the league.

He looks like an awesome CB to me. Only 1 missed tackle is impressive until you look at your compitition. Your closest game all season was 50-6. The blowouts get even worse from there.

It's all equal competition, am I suppose to apologize for my team being so good?

Looks like an awesome LOLB to me.

When you're blowing out every team like that, there can't possibly be pairity in the league. Not saying he's bad, just that results under those kinds of conditions are very likely to be skewed.

True it's a level 13 capped league and results will be skewed. But it doesn't change the fact we are all in the same league. It's level 13 capped. and the best team in our conference(besides us) went 15-1 and we crushed them(83-0).

The reason why we are blowing every team out is because we are that much better than every team.

I won't sit here and say that being a level 13 capped league is skewed I won't argue that. But you won't find any linebacker much better than him at his level.

Also every single player on the team plays in a 99/100 so his plays were down from what he could have had. He could have been much better with more pt. But we all share pt.

I don't see the point in having vision that high, at that level, if there's not going to be any commitment to swatball / catching / shed block. It's like someone who commits everything into strength, then doesn't put anything into tackling. Sort of defeats the purpose. You can get away without that commitment early on, because the disparity in your catching/swat/shed block wont be that big, but at 40+, all of those definitely need to be filled out.

I had a MLB with almost 80 vision and 4 in SV and it was nothing special. Take vision to the 2nd cap and leave it there.

Well D, I guess you can say he uses that high vision to rack up on tackles. It would be better to see how he fared on a competitive team with teammates at his level.

High Vision LBs would need to sacrifice in other areas.

Personally would i want to have vision help my LB make a better read, and jump on the play better? yes.

Would i want to sacrifice the speed to get there, practically negating the point of a better jump/ read? no

Would i want to sacrifice the strength/ tackling needed to finish the play, and tackle the person without fear it'll be broken? no

so in the end you'll have these options of a LB

A.) Lower Speed, High vision, high strength tackling.
Vision 68
Tackling 60
Strength 60
Speed 60
Agility 60

This would be a LB who'll make a quick read, but wont benefit from it really, getting to the ball slower. It would even out practically.

B.) High Speed LB, with High Vision, but low strength/ tackling...
Speed 68
Vision 68
Agility 68
Tackling 48+
Strength 48+

Almost sounds like a LOLB ... but his speed wont be high enough to even cover the VERY high end speedster TEs out there (assuming you want to put equipment into Vision instead of speed or agility)... Wouldn't mind him as a Zone Coverage Scheme LB for pass plays, but that's more specific than most people want to make.

C.) I've thought about a High Agility, Low Speed, High Vision, High Strength, Low Tackling LB
Speed 60
Agility 68
Vision 68
Strength 60
Tackling 48+

.... a way to try to make a quick read, and be quick to the hole and make a strong tackle... and be quick in zone coverages as well ... I suppose it wouldn't be that bad for an ILB... but i haven't really thought this out....

although i think i've thought about this before ... made a very old post about this exact topic... and soon after forgot about it .... oh well

You can hit vision to the 2 cap early on in the LB's career to the point that you can just ignore it for the remainder of his career.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1330593

I hit his 2 cap at about lvl 5 or so if memory serves me right. Through auto level gains he's got 66.6 vis now.
His agility is also 3-capped at lvl 19 and I have 10 sp to play with at lvl 21 waiting for speed to get up and probably 1 cap it around lvl 23. His build will easily fill out by lvl 30 where I can start playing with str/tkl

Actually, 60 of all of those, + jumping with all EQ in speed works pretty good.
