As per Tricon's request

1. Green Bay Maulers V 8 Northwest Arkansas Naturals. The Maulers Rolled through the regular season in dominating style. 16-0 and only ONE of the wins by less than 20. The finished out the year with a solid 26 point win over a very talented OFG squad and look like the team to beat in all of GLB this season.

The Naturals made the Playoffs in their debut season up in the Big Show and they look like a solid squad. The last game against the gutted Cha Chings doesn't really have any bearing on what they are all about.

HOLY FREAKING TURNOVERS is the best way to describe the first meeting between these two teams. The Nats gave up the ball an amazing 9 times on their way to a ONE HUNDRED point loss. Green Bay ONLY outgained them by 400+ yards because they constantly had a short field to work with

GBM wins 65-14

2. Las Vegas Gamblers V 7 Carolina Hammer. The Gamblers closed out a solid regular season by picking up their 3rd straight win with an impresive beat down of the Golfers. LVG total crushed the Alpine O limiting them to 187. 3 Gamblers Turnovers kept the score closer than the game actually was.

The Hammer finished off an Impresive 7 game winning streak with a big win over the Bullets. Carolina bounced back from a 2-7 start to make the playoffs. In the W over Washington their D was amazing and their O did enough to get them into the tourney.

The Gamblers used big plays on special teams and a great defensive effort to win the first meeting between these two squads. Carolina was held to 155 yards on O and turned the ball over twice in the 21 point loss

LVG wins 35-17

3. Cincinnati Shocker V 6 Indianapolis Gurupies. These two teams closed out the season against one another. The Shockers used needed a 67 yard TD pass with 20 seconds to go to get the win. Cincinnati managed 400+ yards of O but losing the turnover battle 3-1 made them need the last second heroics to get the win. Jacob Orange Blood had a huge day running the ball but neither squad could get much of a passing game going unitl 2 big plays late.

Shockers win 35-21

4. Alpine Golfers V 5. ***Official*** Footballguys. The Golfers ended a nice season in less than impresive fashion in their loss to a tough LVG squad. Getting outgained by almost 400 yards. If it wasn't for LVG turnovers and some nice Redzone D the scoreboard would have looked even worse.

OFG had the tough task of closing out with the Mauler Machine. The Managed to keep the game respectable and this season that is saying something. OFG went with almost a 100% pass O in an effort to get big plays out of their high powered O. But, it wasn't enough against GB.

Alpine used two big plays in the fourth quarter to pull of an impressive comeback win the first time these two met. OFG Dominated the yardage differential BUT the score didn't show it.

OFG wins 45-34

NAN has really suffered from the mid-season changes to the passing game imo.

- Fix bug allowing too many incerceptions from passes that were knocked loose, reduced to more of a once in a blue moon kinda thing.

The playoffs just got interesting

Sounds good. I really hope the fix also affects the offensive catches off of deflections, whatever it was.

Not really. If you have the defensive design that is getting a ton of deflections and KLs the offense is just going to be punting a lot rather than you getting the ball off an INT.

I don't think it's going to make life dramatically better for passing teams. Making a living through the air is still going to be difficult against defenses that have good pass d schemes.

Regardless, i'm glad he fixed the bug he created. That shit was really irritating since 5/15

Agreed. I can deal with facing a good pass defense I'd much rather have to pass on 3rd and long and not sweat a pick 6 (sure, normal INT's happen, but you know what I'm saying)

I imagine there will be a lot of bitching about Bort making a bug fix the day before the playoffs start.

I agree, but there's always some freak out over changes right before the playoffs. Not to mention the fact that any software change can cause unexpected changes that could cause the next firestorm.

Considering that the KL INT problems were caused accidentally when changing something else, it should be interesting to see what THIS fucks up in the playoffs.

uhh, punting is a lot more acceptable than giving up 7 points on the regular...

look at your game against drinkin', you benefited quite a bit off of KL+INT
