Which 15+ players are you gonna release next season? <_<

Doh, sorta slipped my mind because I've been working on the restructure stuff, sorta head buried. Sorry guys!

55 is the plan. I'm trying to figure out exactly how to the enforce it, and by when; My only idea right now is just to say something like "by week 4, you have to be down to 55 or we cut the lowest level players until you're at 55."

The other problem is that it will likely be able to get over that by doing interesting trade/cut/sign combinations, so we'll need to have some sort of safeguard for that, to cut players at rollover or something.

Or maybe it should just be a luxury tax for each player over.

Note: Not a whine or anything (Puchtit makes ST's obsolete with his touchbacks anyway ) but I'm just curious >_>

Yea. I'm guessing a lot of agents with a ton of players are just going to retire a lot. Some of those agents seem to be doing that already. Golfers only have 58ish anyways but yea, it'll be interesting to see how many of the agents with extra solid builds let them go FA

I agree. I think the 'hope' was that this would level out the different leagues and get more top talent on different teams, but I don't see it happening. More retirements is more likely.

Yeah, this is a foregone conclusion imo. The special teamers are mostly an artifact of folks having extra players that they don't need for their own teams.

Yes and no, the real hope was to make teams a bit more realistic. He knows a lot of those special teams players will be retiring, but the "hope" is that in the long run this change will be for the better of the game.

It also will discourage "super slow building" and player rotting a little.

As to the Energy question, I believe he was thinking of turning the energy loss from special teams down a bit. I haven't heard anything official on that though.

and an excuse to still use players without continuing to pay for this three ring circus.
