In the West the playoff picture is set for the most part, we have 8 teams that are gurenteed to go. cut is at the Thudertown Brawlers.... as for the set up 2-8 looks a little iffy. So here are two games to watch-out for, becasue they could possibly shake things up.
Match-up 1:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5913&team2=72 B.C. Assassins vs. Death Valley Reapers. B.C. is sitting at the 8th seed in the East and as I said they are pretty safe at that spot win or lose this game, but I am sure they would like a 7th or 6th seed if they can and as for Death Valley they are holding on to that number 4 seed and probably would not like to lose it becasue the MAD DAWGS are at their heals, so importance wise, Death Valley will want to get the job done here to maintain that 4th seed and last home field spot!
Break down: Death Valley has an intense passing game as I have said over and over, for these guys will or should look to exploit B.C. here! but the same will go for B.C., they will need to air it out on Death Valley and look to exploit their weakness... this could and should be a high scoring game with the winner keeping a hold of that last home field spot....
Predictions
Death Valley will air it out all day long on B.C. cause that is what they have done all season long and seem to be pretty good at it, B.C. will not overload the Wide Outs giving Death Valley's secondary a chance to rest and causing the Reapers to pull away.
Death Valley Reapers 87 B.C. Assassins 49
The other game in the West that will have importance on who could end up at 8th seed is http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1045&team2=5
After this match-up Astoria Freedom Yoaches will have to face the Philly Birds and Death Valley... If they lose all three games they will still be in the playoffs, but they will move all the way down to the 8th seed! so keep an eye out here, a must win if they don't want to fall that far!
Now for the East! The number 1 seed will more than likely not be determined until the last game of the season then there are two teams trying to finish the season with wins to keep that 4th seeded spot (Camden Outkasts and College Town) Houstan looks to be locked in at that number 3 spot and then there is 3 teams fighting it out for seeds 6-7... so with all that said my game of the week in the East is....
Camden Outkasts vs. Milwaukee Beermen... here is their match-up http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1778&team2=26 Now Camden has come from no where! I apologize to you Outkasts, you guys have been laying low or at least you have been to me! ha... Camden had a rough four game losing streak towards the start of the season, but have been on an 8 game terror in which one was suprisingly against the Feeble Minds, the very team they are running with for that number 4 seed in the East! This game holds value to both teams as the Beermen don't want to fall to the 7th or 8th seed to face either one of the monsters what will be 1 or 2 seed and the Outkast will want to keep a hold of that last home field spot knowning they have the head to head win on College Town reguardless if they have the same record.
Break down: Neither one of these teams are juggernauts offensively. Beermen rank 12th passing and 13th rushing and Camden rank 15th passing and 16th rushing... but as for defense, Camden is noticeably better than the Beermen at Pass Defense with Camden being 12th in the league against the Pass and the Beermen being 23rd, but it flip flops on Run D, as the Beermen are 10th against the Run and Camden are 17th... with these numbers I must think this could turn into a very good game! It will come down to game planning and tyring to determine where the other teams weakness are...
I don't even want to make a prediction here... it will be anyones game!
