ok im back to provide some commentary on the playoff race. The eastern conference is bubbling at the moment, with 11 teams vying for playoff spots. The western conference has its share of drama, with MEM holding the top spot firmly with a win over compton this week. Compton are still IMO a rising team and had a chance to win it against MEM, but a special teams failure sealed the game for MEM:

Compton now share a four way tie for third place with Minnesota, San diego and Honolulu. These four teams are the main drama in the west, where washington are close on the heels of MEM, with a week 14 matchup deciding the top spot in my opinion, lest texas or chicago pull out a win against these guys, which is possible.

Texas @ compton is an interesting matchup. both these teams will meet again in the playoffs for sure, but where? and when? this game could decide both team's futures.

Minnesota have four games left, one against the monkeys and against chicago and texas too.

Following their loss to San Diego, Chicago is in full tailspin and i dont see them recovering well from it. This team reminds me of the 2008 buffalo bills. Hot start but an incosistent finish. Koziol has been hot and cold the entire season, and now they must play Honolulu and Minnesota to decide where they end up in the playoffs. I see them beating BSB, but losing to both MN and HN and ending the season at 9-7. My prediction for the wolfpack game is a wolfpack win by 10. Come on Chicago, you guys need to pull yourselves back into this thing.

The roughnecks stand at 8-4, and have a nightmare schedule to finish the season. My prediction for them is compton (L), San Diego (L), Wolfpack (L) and a win over the marauders in the final week, which would leave them at 9-7, and with the hedgehogs having the tiebreaker, texas land at the 8th spot.

San Diego reconfirmed their status as a team to watch. They put the smackdown on Chicago last week and are feeling the pressure now to try and knock off MEM. MEM are on a tear the last few games too, (obviously) and this game is my game of the week.

SDL VS MEM:

this game is a game of the two hottest teams in the west. Neither have lost in six games, and this game is going to be a bloodbath. there is, to borrow a well-worn cliche, no love lost between these two teams.

Monmouth (11-1) run the ball and stop the run well, and against San Diego's nice running back trio and ninth place running game they will need it. Drago Puncher, Monmouth's loudmouth QB has been involved in a spit with San Diego's defensive coordinator BP. Coackviking the owner of the Monkeys, has well-documented spats with team owner Jaxx and Da raiders, leaving both sides eager to put their avatars were their mouths are and play some dotball!

this game should be closer than most expect, but i see MEM as being a little too good at the moment, and beating San Diego by a late score.

It'll take a very large 1st Round upset for us to see Compton again in the Playoffs
