which should be higher, or should they be equal?
Forum > Position Talk > D Line Club > Anyone figure out which is better for a pass rushing DE (speed or agility)?

My lvl. 50 is even at 82 and he gets pretty decent results. That is the only DE I have though, so I don't if having a great disparity between the two works or not.

they both have their advantages. Speed completely dodges a block. agility sheds it. I think there is a higher chance to shed than dodge one completely so I think agility. Right at this moment in time. Maybe in 2 weeks speed.

Before stuns, it was all about speed DEs using the DPC to split out so wide that the OT never touched them. Now with stuns, while the aforementioned strategy is still possible, Agility ends are going to dominate.

Since the stun is in effect, wouldn't it be better to go with speed and not get touched?

when a player breaks a block, and his agility is high enough, he stuns the blocker ... not the other way around. stunning is good for agility based pass rushers, not blockers.

You need enough speed to physically cover the distance to the QB before he makes the throw. 70 speed and 200 agility still might not make it there in time, even if you break the block immediately.

85 speed and 110 agility will, though.

Ha, good point.
I wonder what is better at causing a stun, strength or agility?
Maybe a strength and speed guy would do better?

both are used to break the block & once it's broken, strength can cause a reverse pancake and agility can cause a stun

I have a str and speed guy on my team who doesn't do shit. haha.(don't hate on me misled.
)(bah I shouldn't say that he's still young)
But Str is mainly for reverse pancakes.
Agility is for the stun effect.
This is what I have gathered.

the swim/rip is what causes the stun
when u break a block, u get a chance to pancake, if htat fails, you get a chance to stun. one uses str, the other uses agil
