1. Monmouth Evil Monkeys V 9. Las Vegas Freebirds. The Monkeys continue to roll since week 1. The Offense moved the ball with ease in the game with the Spartans behind Elisha's passing and for the 6th straight games E.D. and L.C. both went for over 100 yards. Defensively the Monkeys held Mr. Smith to 3 YPC and destroyed their passing game to the tune of a 25% completion rate, 6 sacks and 2 ints.

The Freebirds looked impressive in giving Chicago it's second L of the year. The Freebird D played it's usual great game,picking up 3 turnovers (one that turned into a big 6 points) and a huge 4th down stop early in the game. Offensively they were far from outstanding but effective enough to win the game.

Evil Monkeys win 45-17

2. Minnesota Marauders V 11. Lincoln Navigators. The Marauders used the MJD and Gore show to walk all over the Ground Pounders. Krist was not his usual accurate self but e did manage to find the end zone on two throws. Defensively, if you take a way one big run the Marauders totally shut down everything NY-CA tried to do.

The Navs put up a hell of a fight but were unable to come away with a win against the Pack. Their D came to play holding the tough Pack O to under 300 yards. The problem was that their O gave the ball up three times and couldn't get the job done in the 4th quarter.

MM wins 46-17


3. Washington Wolfpack V 15. Dallas Vaqueros. The Pack hung on to win a tough defensive game with the Navs. The Pack was able to move the ball well on the ground (so whats new) but their passing game was inept. Their defense stepped it up big time in the fourth quarter, stopping the Navs the last four times they had the ball to preserve the win.

Dallas losing streak has hit 20 now, at least they have great Chemistry.

WW wins 72-10

4. Compton Vikings V 5. Chicago Hedgehogs. The Vikings are red hot with their 7th straight W. Tavaris had a monster game throwing for 317 and 4 TDs with No Ints despite being under constant pressure. The Viking Pass defense looked porous giving tons of yardage to Parma, BUT they made up for it by picking off three passes and bringing one back to the house for 6.

The Hogs lost for only the second time this year last time out. While the moved the ball at will against the Freebirds, poor Defense on their own part mixed in with their inability to hang onto the ball led to the loss.

Compton wins 44-42

6. Honolulu Hurricane Warriors V 14. NY-CA Ground Pounders. HHW and the new Air Wang offense rolled over the artist's BS(when your 1-9 your lose a BS is more appropriate than BSB). Stuart Wang threw for a sick 468 and 6 TD's. The Canne's D had their usual solid effort and this team is looking like a very solid playoff squad.

HHW wins 52-10

7. San Diego Lightning V 10. Parma Burglars. SDL picked up their 4th Win in a row with a nice game against the Hapless Vaqueros. SD went run heavy this time out with 3 backs over 100 yards.

8. Texas Roughnecks V 11. South Bay Spartans. The Roughnecks bounced from 2 tough losses with a win over a CPU. Whatever.

South Bay got crushed by Monmouth on both sides of the ball. It would have taken a lot more than a good game from Mr. Smith to win this one and they didn't even get that.

Good job. I agree with Doomsday that the Navs will put up a fight though. I don't know if they will win like he predicted, but they are definitely a great team to play spoiler this year.

Lincoln finally put their shit together while not turning the ball over 4+ times in a game. The questions remains though will it be enough for the rest of the season to sneak into the playoffs.

The most viable way left for us to get into the playoffs is the roughnecks losing 4 of their last 5 games which is entirely possible. I mean no disrespect to the roughnecks but you have to figure going into compton,san diego, washington, and minnesota that they will be the underdog. They will be a favorite against the freebirds and will more than likely win but they at least have an outside chance of losing that one as well. Of course we have to win out which is a big task with hawaii up next.

MM is officially screwed by midseason changes again. Our offense is neutered due to the fact you can't even get a pitch off anymore.
