Hi,

this is the first time I am about to built an elusive HB. Ive gote some advice before, but Id like to have more input on this before I make a decision.

If you were about to build an elusive HB this season, considering that a lot of people complain about elusive HBs doing too good right now (incoming nerf?), which strategy would you follow.

I was thinking about this:
Speed up to 60 while training Agi/Vis on intense, EQ on speed incl. CE
Agi up to 60 while training Vis/Conf on intense, EQ spread between Speed/Agi 50:50, CE in Speed
Speed to 68 then Agi to 68 while training Conf/Carrying on intense, EQ the same
Conf to soft cap and/or 60 while training Carrying/Str and working on SAs

What do you guys think? Im trying to balance between cookie-cutter build and nerf resistance.

Speed to 74 while training agility
Agility to 68 while training conf/carry and conf/stam
carry to 68 while training conf/stam and conf/vision
confidence to 48 then SA's with final goal being 7-10-6-10-5

Thats my plan for this HB

FWIW, I'm currently experimenting on a RB (just lvl 26). As of now he's at 69 Speed/Agility, 35 vision, 40 carrying. All eq so far is in Agility bringing it to 87 (no lvl 24 upgrades yet). My next step is to take carrying to 68 w/ EQ. The remaining EQ will be put into speed.

I think by building this way I can get more SPs into QC, FS, HF and Juke (currently at 3 w/ AEQ). That plus the Quick Feet/Slippery VAs, I'm hoping translates into late career success.

Since he's on my team I can play with his build a bit.

As a heads up, high agility (i.e. equipment on 3rd cap agility) is great with a ton of juke/head fake, but unless you can find a way to get speed closer to 100 you will find that you break a lot of runs for nice gains but get tackled from behind every time you get past the secondary.

Thanks. I figured that'd be the case since Speed is the Jesus power. I'm already resigned to just moving the chains vs breaking the long run. If it was good enough for Barry Sanders, it's good enough for me.

Yah know, what we need is a VA called "breakaway speed" that provides a boost to speed when in the open field and past the last defender. Kind of like a counter to closing speed.

Are there any known quality HBs whose Speed:Agility ratio would be 1:1 or even in favour of agility?

Ive read that agility influences your acceleration - isnt that more important for an elusive-tricks performing HB than the maximum possible speed?

Furthermore, if I happen to decide to go for strong agility and elusive SAs, does anyone have evidence on how much will vision and confidence affect me? (should it be 68:60 or 60:60 or even 68:48?).

Thanks for you time and effort to answer.

~89 speed/83 agility/62 vision/45 confidence
10-7-6-9-8 tree

He generally manages to fake 3 or 4 defenders per run though the duration of fakes isn't very long. Basically if you go for agility/speed evenly with high fake skills, you will find your back breaking past the secondary often but struggling to outrun the defense once he is in the clear.

Just a couple examples from today's game.

Good stuff here.

I currently have a level 10 RB, going elusive.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1333250

Level 10
61 Speed with 15 SP's remaining.
Training Agi/Vision (currently at 27/25); when I hit level 11 I will put the 20 points into Agility to soft cap it at 48.
Then get Agility up to 60 while training Carrying/Confidence to get Carrying to 48.
Back to Vision to get it to 48

I figure Carrying plays a large role in success....am I wrong on that? Was thinking Vision and Carrying both at 60 in the long run.

Sound alright?

Carry is huge imo, but you should get speed to at least 68 before you go into agility

You have to pick your poison sometimes. My HB gets tackled from behind by speedy CB's quite a bit, but I also juke 'em outta their shoes for 30 yard gains on a frequent basis. You can't have it all.

So if you are 56+ speed and a level 10RB.... It now takes two SPs to bump up one on speed....should I switch to agility to get the most out of my SPs or should I keep putting it towards my speed...and training? SHould i put all into training when Speed only goes up 14% each time I train? Thx m8s
