I have a blocking TE, and I just rolled an advanced piece of EQ that has a Big Hit special ability. I know that is key for a powerful defensive player, but would that be beneficial for a blocking tight end as well??

Let me know. Thanks!!

what would a blocking TE need to put a big hit on the ball carrier for? i would look for an O-line piece or quick cut or run blocking SA piece

I wasn't asking if it would apply to putting a big hit on a ball carrier...

I was curious if a 'big hit' would apply to hitting a defender when blocking. I know the obvious choice would be to wait for a shock block/foundation/ect. ect.

Just wondering if it would apply on the flip-side of things.

no. for defense only, when tackling ball carrier, not when placing a block.

"Put a powerful hit on the ball carrier. The Big Hit skill increases the chance of causing fumbles and reduces the morale of the player being tackled. This skill is important for strong, powerful tacklers. Repeated Big Hits will make tackling your demoralized opponent much easier. Additional Levels: Increases the chance of causing a fumble."

Thanks tetura.

The top line alone would've been sufficient. As I can read the description of the ability too.
