i created a dude then saw that slowbuilding is the best so i retired my punter and made a new 1. i created him this year and he is already Level 11. I now have 70 SP to spend.. where should i do it? his build is open. if i use all the SP to punting.. I can get up to 71 and it is costing 4 SP to go up once. i know i shouldn't put it all in punting so my question is.. how much into strength, confidence, or vision. I will train vision and confidence on intense. I heard speed and agility are important but how important? thanks!

To clarify you should've capped punting as soon as possible, which is likely around level 4-5. Get punting to 68 ASAP, maybe even 73. Then cap confidence and work towards 68.

I put punting up to 68. now what? confidence? are you sure the 12 remaining shouldn't go into strength? i am not debating just wanting to know the reasoning. thanks.

Confidence is a better punting stat and it gains more per level, so getting it high now means long-term payoffs, in addition to being more important than strength. If you can't get it to 49 right now then I'd train vision/confidence for now until you can. Then work on training strength as you raise confidence to 68. Strength is good but it can wait, and I'd go vision to the first cap before working strength towards the second.

I agree with this as you should have had punting capped at level 3, or 4 at the latest if you got a bad roll. At this point I would get punting to fourth or fifth cap to make up for it.

level 2, 3 at the latest with a bad roll
Here's the problem with your build. 70 SP, so level 12? You can add and get to what, 71 you said? I got my punting to 73 at level 10, meaning at level 12 75+fill bar =76. That is 5 extra punting, AND 10 extra skill points, at the same level. All because you banked skill points.
Start over, trust me.

I disagree on confidence 2nd. I go strength second. And I don't stop at 68 either. 75. Then go to confidence.
While you get big leveling gains in the confidence stat, the truth is a punter only needs like 68 confidence at level 50. If you don't need more than that, why rush to put a bunch of SP there?

HULK, then the argument would be if you need it at 68 at L50, you should rush it to 55 or so ASAP and let natural level gains take over. Best bang for the buck. NOTE: 55 is just a guestimate, but basically subtract the levels gains you'll get on CONF between now and L50 and that's where you want to take it.

You'd get the most "bang for the buck" by just going to 60 and taking the natural level up at a 3:1 ratio instead of a 2:1.

What Octowned said is correct. Further, whether or not you need that much str to make a good punter could be argued as well. I realize the str punter build worked out well for you, but I can cite at least half a dozen punters with 75+ str who suck.

People need to get over the "value" thing. Stopping at 55 and getting 2:1 for a while isn't a big deal if you don't want more confidence. If your goal is 70 confidence, and you don't think getting 75 will significantly improve your build, why spend from 55 to 60 for 10 SP, even if you get more "value" in going from 70 to 75 from gains? Building for SP "value" and building economically given the limited amount of SP you have in your career are totally different things. Find a build target, and the most optimal way to reach it. Stopping at 55 isn't a build error because it is in the middle of caps.
It is in my opinion an error though, because it isn't enough confidence. I differ from a few others though, and do think 60 is enough. I stopped at 60, and am sitting at 80 confidence at level 39 now. I'm happy with that, if you asked me to spend 15 SP to go from 80 to 85 (what I could have done in taking conf from 60 to 68 over 3 levels way back when), I don't think I'd do it.
