Ok, this isn't a whole build type question, it is more about a specific attribute, namely strength for my slow-building power HB (lvl 20).

Currently, his strength is 74.29 natural. My question is, is that enough? I have been reading various threads recently that have been suggesting that for really elite builds, you want to push right through and smash the caps out of the park, to the tune of the 6:1 or 7:1 caps. I have 28 SPs sitting around as I am training speed/agility and they are both 25.29, so it is pointless adding SPs to them at the moment. I can take his strength to 79.29 natural, well past the 6:1 soft-cap (that's at 77.29 for my guy atm). To me, this has big pros and big cons. The obvious cons being that I haven't added any SPs to anything other than strength and it is a REALLY big investment at the moment this far down the line with strength. However, if I did do this, I would have 97.29 strength on a lvl 20 HB, which to me seems absolutely insane, but in a good way. I could add the rest of his EQ upgrades onto speed (he only has the basic, lvl 8 and lvl 16 upgrades on strength - so maybe add the lvl 24's to strength as well?) and to me that would seem like it would make him an absolute beast.

What do you guys think?

It's a sacrifice that I personally have chosen not to make. That said, going extremely high on the caps WILL make an elite build, however it will peak MUCH later than a build which stops at the 4:1 or 5:1 caps. I'd rather have 76+ strength AND carrying than 80-85 strength, 65-70 carry, and a late peak.

You're wise to think this through for awhile, it's a big sacrifice and a big commitment as well.

Yeah, I know it's a big commitment, but I'm prepared to wait a while for him to peak, since we have another back (elusive) who is really playing very well at the moment, so it's not a big loss if my back isn't productive for another season or 2. I think rather than dumping all my SPs into strength now, I'll just take it to the 6:1 (77), which will leave me with 13 SPs to use on taking my speed up once it's trained. Also, where do you recommend taking carrying to? I've heard a lot of conflicted reports about it. Some say take it to where you've taken strength, other say 60 will do?
