Who will be the next team to score a point on U.S. Postal? I'm guessing either Toledo or Wheel City will be able to put points on the board. If not, then we'll probably have to wait for Miami in the 2nd to last game of the regular season.

The Bufford Bullfrogs play us next, and they are averaging 44 points per game through 6 games. I'm not saying they will upset Postal, but they are capable of scoring in that game. They average 350 yards per game on the ground. They are putting together a really solid team. They will be seriously out-leveled in the game coming up with Postal, but for their levels they are solid.

Well since we've already crowned the postal service champs of the west, I'm just glad to be atop the power rankings right now.

Buford has Postal next so there should at least be an update between those 2 teams in the power rankings

That's what I thought when the current #6 faced the current #2 and beat them, but that didn't change anything.

I still think it's about strenght of schedule. When you guys start playing teams that are more evenly matched that you don't just simply blow out of the water you'll move up the power rankings. It shows no power at all when you crush teams that are made up of players that are an average of 4-5 levels below you.

Yet it shows power to be one of those teams for some reason.

I think the reason why the top 2 teams in the west (Postal and the Pigs) are not at the top of the power rankings because they lost to the 2 undefeated teams from the East. As those teams beat other teams in the East who may have lost to teams in the West it hurts your power ranking. But over time this should settle and it will become more accurate as we are already seeing in week 7.

What shows power is when you beat teams that are more evenly matched with you. Your Pigs lost to the only two teams that you have played that were anywhere near a good matchup. Then you crushed every team that you've played that you had a HUGE statistical advantage over.

Up to this point my Bullfrogs have beat all of the teams that were, relatively speaking, close match ups and have only lost to the teams that had HUGE statistical advantages.

As Killer says, it's going to even out over the course of the season and everyone will take their rightfull place in the hierarchy, but early on in the season, what we have seen in the power rankings has been largely about the matchups.
