Well last season I wanted to make a power back after seeing this one RB on our team bulldozing over everyone. Now that he's gone to another team and we are using this elusive back, I am having second thoughts. This guy is simply a beast: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=65515

There are many ways to skin a cat, but no matter what, the cat is dead. Just pick one and stick with it.

i would say RB success is like 90% team/system and the other half is build

this. If your OC does not scout for the best running plays, you are not going to run efficiently.

Here are some HBs on my team:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=233719
^^ 8.8 YPC, have not played a CPU team this season. power back and level 23, STILL not a dark green rushing bar. League leader in rushing yards, third in YPC, 2nd in rushing TDs (the other leaders: one had a blowout game, the other has 5 carries)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=77596
^^ balanced back. Our receiving threat from the backfield, STILL 566 yards and 6.7 YPC. Season 1 build, did not start boosting until season 5. From a different country and english is not his first language.

Its all about the OC.

My OC is a bum but Martian ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=389550 ) is just completely out of control. I wish I could take back my first few games though, because I was testing out different running styles still and it fucked me. I had him set to garbage super elusive against the Coyotes and it's one of the biggest reasons why we lost that game.

SE only works if you have a good O-line matchup and the HB has high vision (third cap). But yeah, your HB is tearing it up in Aplha. 16YPC is an insane average. HOWEVER, you did play two gutted/CPU teams thus far. RR had an 8.3 YPC average in a beating we took in the GLB AAA tourney. Too bad i only had him rushing 9 times that whole game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya, you kinda have to pad those cpu games a bit if you want a chance at a trophy. I still like my performance against tough opponents though, minus the first 2 tough games where I was still reviewing running styles.
