I think it would be nice if the previous winners had a trophy that shows the accomplishment. Have it say "Previous GLB AA-AAA World Champions", as an example for the AA-AAA Trophy.

no i disagree, the Title must be defended every set amount of days, think of all the previous owner trophies then! The Title would simply loose its luster!
If you want the crown then defend it, otherwise regroup and try and get a rematch!

I just think that the team should have something to show for the accomplishment. That's all.
Even just a trophy that says the dates they were Champs. Something.

meh...not this one...the title could change hands several times in a season...and they are all 1 game to win it. Not really worth the Pixel Trophy time.

Obviously biased but I definitely think there should be some recognition for these awards past owners.. maybe a separate page for the awards with previous winners (not many people come to the friendlies board or even know there is a AA-AAA championship trophy to be had.. it took me three weeks to get challenged by a handful of teams)

im now biased too, GG by the way Ry (the G stands for Great here) but i gotta say, there should be something that gives credit/indicates that a team did hold the belt at one pint.

The purpose of the trophy is show who is the CURRENT champion. It's unique, and sets you apart from every single other team in the game.
If we let it stick, eventually hundreds of teams could have it. Nothing unique or special about that, right?

That said, I eventually hope to have some sort of special page setup with title histories. I have the stickied thread above for now, which works, but something a bit nicer would be cool.

I agree with that. I still think a "Former GLB Champ" trophy would be cool, but I understand wanting to keep in unique for the current Champs (currently US!!!).
