Are there any DEs out there using jump the snap VA? I've heard mixed opinions on it, and was just wondering if anyone out there was using jump the snap effectively.

Also, how much vision do you have? The description makes it sound like vision and JTS go hand in hand helping each other. Am i misreading the description or is that what everyone else gets too.

Basically just wondering how much is the trade off between encroachment and getting a jump, and about how much vision is necessary to make the tradeoff worth it and the JTS VA effective.

I have high JTS and more than soft cap the vision and it works decently.

I have it maxed and my guy has done nothing.

I'm not sure if I have enough "legit" sacks or not, but I've put half of my VA points into JTS, and I've gotten at least one sack every game. My vision is at 50.

Double check your sources. Underpuppy and his goons are only here to make trouble. Check my sacks yourself.

Also, it's not all about sacks, notice how your player get off the line quicker, I do with mine when I have 15 in JTS and combination with high vision.

Since JTS works off vision, if you don't have at least 2:1 cap on vision it likely won't be that much beneficial.

I have 5 of JTS in each of my DL. It's a nice boost but I didn't want to max something out that includes a penalty. There aren't a lot of good DE options, unfortunately. That said, getting a good jump on the snap is extremely helpful vs the run and pass. No one is getting many sacks these days, but you can still see a big difference between players with good vision/JTS and those without.

Max it, the penalties are rare (I'm sure Bort will change that next season.) I have mine at 15 and he has yet to commit a penalty.

It's true sacks are far and few in between nowadays. Bort has design the QB to dump the ball like crazy when the DE gets into a predetermined range of the QB. In another thrend he has supposedly decreased the radius a bit to add a little more sacks, but over the grand scheme it's nothing.

I actually checked ur sacks before I posted. You have one sack against a higher level guy. LOL. JTS rock and rolls! don't it?

If you have vision 2nd capped, how do you know you wouldn't be passing the vision checks without JTS?

to me it seems like JTS adds a bonus above and beyond normal, but only if you are lucky enough to activate it AND you pass the vision check. at least that is what i gather from the description. and so not only would it be useless without great vision, but it would also cause more offsides.
