What defensive settings will allow me to stop that play? My D Coordinator has just left temporarily due to family issues, and we have been struggling with this problem this season. Any help would be appreciated.

man cover the hb with LB or SS, make sure he is fast enough, pretty easy in the D custom play creator.
I would not recommend a CB to cover a HB, The HB could be a powerback which surely is gonna kill the cb.
or the advanced D ai, set "underneath coverage" to man coverage "distance" short, and dont blitz LOLB or MLB.

no way is a powerback gonna out-hustle a good cb for the ball... the cb will have more vision and jumping and catching than a pure power back

But if he catches the ball before the CB gets to it theres a very god chance the HB is going to break the tackle.

And LB's won't keep up with a half decent speed HB.

Then you need faster LB I always try to have LB that can cover a HB alone. maybe some help from the SS or FS with cover man without moving. The play should be over before the HB has beaten his coverage.
