nah not a waste. i mean ... people will tell you to retire him then start a new guy and 3 cap his major attributes so his build isn't rounded out for at least 5 seasons, but i say keep him and start pumping up other attributes ... you'll definitely need that vision

My lvl 12 SS has 62.4 vision. I'm tryin to build him with high vis/agi in mind. Could be a failure, but ya never know unless you try.

Since it is evident that you are not slowbuilding, I wouldn't necessarily panic; you'll want vision higher than 28 eventually.

imho work on speed an agility to become more effective asap

Interesting...you getting vision to 68? It is one a major attribute for SS level gain wise

For a SS speed, agility and vision lead to success early. Then add tackling and strength.

Thinking about it, but just got done capping agility and might try to double cap it before going back to vision.

Eh, whatever. That's why there's a retirement option. If he sucks, he'll get retired. If not, he might dominate.

I've seen Saftey's who have had practically no speed, and make up for it with vision in pass coverage. I'm slow building a FS for pass coverage. I've 3 capped Speed, and Vision. So far he makes jumps on balls much earlier than other players (he's a tad slow going because his agility is the next to get capped.)

Which i've seen with very high vision safetys. Safety's that have close to, or with 80 something vision. They make plays in coverage that seemingly is like watching a jedi... a slow moving jedi, but you know what i mean.

I don't understand why people are even wondering about vision being important to saftey's.

It's as simple as finding a safety with high vision, and watching their reaction time to certain plays.

For SS's i would agree that if you are a Run Stopping SS, then vision can be as low as soft capped, and left alone. Or maybe as high as 2nd capped for a maximum result (mostly because they should be left on 'run focus' anyway)

But for a balanced SS i would say 60 atleast.

and for a pass coverage SS 3rd cap it.

I've watched Underdog's SS. He's a solid run stopping SS. He does pretty well in pass coverage as well. He does get the job done. He's obviously a run stuffing guy. His reaction time isn't as quick as other higher vision Safety's. But i'm very disturbed that you are being very negative and hateful toward the idea that vision is an important attribute.

ANYWAY

For a FS i would think 3 capping is minimum.

For my slow build FS. I'm planning to have his mid 70s vision to help get to plays very quick with the help of high speed. In the end he wont be needed in the run game because by the time he is ready he will be joined with an entire generation of LBs/ DLineman who graduate with him (one LB being my slow build LB) who will be ready for stopping the run.

Only because people with like 70-80 vision show me plays where they think their vision dominated. Then I dig up the exact same plays and my safety did a better job on it with 55 vision. I'm talking pass plays, screens, in cover two, or stuffing the run.

I can honesty see 61 vision on a safety. Anything more is over board. That's where it starts to be a detriment to your over all build.
