I know that I'm reputed for long speeches, I will try to keep this one shorter.
-I was told recently by a prominent agent and tester whom I respected that my efforts to get Bort to see reason and to help turn this game into a success are little more than 'bitching and whining'. He suggested that if I hate the game so much, why not just quit? Well, I'm going to take him up on that.
-Season 9 has shown me that GLB is beyond repair. It is administered by a man who is in over his head, refuses to admit his mistakes, and will not see reason. That's a shame, because the idea behind GLB is an amazing one, and it's almost criminal that it has been so poorly executed. GLB will not ever be a fair, balanced, or realistic game at it's present rate.
-As soon as I make this post, I will be selling the team. There are *fantastic* agents available on Spicewood, and every single one of them has a great build. In fact, those of you who sign players off of this team will realize just why I am so frustrated with GLB. Neither my quarterback nor any of my other players will be available for recruitment. I am never logging into GLB again, so the morons among you feel free to flame away, but it will fall on deaf ears.
-I apologize for leaving a gutted team in USA Pro - but honestly, what does it matter? Statistics are meaningless already. I would say that at least doing this would open the MVP race up again, but apparently even the method for calculating THAT is whacky in some fashion because despite having 2300 yards and 29 touchdowns through 3 games, Hugh is now only in second place.
-Good luck to all of you who choose to stick with GLB, and to all of you dedicated to it's continued improvement. I personally may believe you are fighting a losing battle with an obstinate and clueless programmer, but I do hope you succeed and one day will make GLB into a game worthy of it's brilliant concept.
