With 3 weeks left in the regular season...maybe we should start voting on MVP, Def POY, Off POY, Rookie of the year. But how should we do it? Every owner gets one vote and cant vote for a player on their team?

I pay a lot of attention to the other teams, but I don't think I could make a good judgement on who is really good at any position on another team.

I'd definitely take my OL over any other, though.

If I were putting together an "All-Star" offensive squad, based just off of stats up until now, it would show up like this (in my opinion):

QB: Joe Goodberry http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=228788

HB: Earl "The Tyler Rose" Campbell
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=153837

WR: Dale Gray http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=62601
Chas Gordner http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=130417

TE: Tonto Goldstein http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=123748

OL: C Trey Green http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=108347
LG Mallius Malifcarium http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=119999
LOT Rly Oh http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=145979
RG Ryan Mayrath http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=248904
ROT Donavan Johnson http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=97372

FB: Martin Hernandez http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=115771

I think that Brick would be the best to make the selections since he pays attention to every team. Quite honestly, I would nominate Head Shot as the Defensive POY.

I'll let you in on a Secret, I really don't pay attention to all the teams. My rankings are completely based on numbers in order to keep my opinion out of it. To be honest, unless you're on our schedule I haven't even looked at your roster.

I was thinking of doing an all-BBB #7 team, my thought was to have every owner PM me their starting offensive & defensive line-up for their division, the only thing being you can't vote for players on your team. But honestly, it seems like there are about 7 or 8 owners and all of Fark that frequents this forum so it didn't seem like I'd get enough of a reponse.

If you guys want to give it a try, PM me the following:

Remember, just players in your division, not on your team.

is this just for owners? or are we going to let the gm's vote or everyone?

I'd like to keep it just to owners, for the sake of my own sanity. If the individual owners want to delegate the task, I'm fine with that, so long as I'm just getting 1 entry per team.

I hate these because you can't get a sense of who is really good, and who is lucking out. You can't go by just their numbers. You have to analyze all their games, and see if they were benefiting from playing crappy teams and such.

Not to mention is comes down to everyone arguing that their player/teammates player is totally one of the Pro Bowlers.

Only thing you could really do is coach of the year, and even then you'd have players arguing for their coach.

I agree. It's very difficult. Take, for example, Paula Dean, HB of the Austin Breakers.
Had a monster first-half of the season, racking up ridiculous yards and TDs. In the past 6 games, though averages about 11 yards per game. (I do wonder exactly what happened over there with that HB. Is he exhausted?)
But if you look at the stats page, Paula Dean is way up at the top. So you could have a great consistent RB off the all-star team in favor of someone who has disappeared completely in the second half of the season.

I agree it isn't easy, I will be very interested to see what everyone comes up with. So far we have 2 ballots in, I'm posting a ballot on my teams board to get my player's 2 cents. And I'm sure that my ballot will end up favoring guys who gave us headaches, rather than who had the best stats for the year, but thats up for each voter to weigh what they see as ProBowl worthy.

One more time, DO NOT VOTE FOR PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM, those votes will not be counted.
