This play absolutely KILLED us last game. The other team's QBs went 43 of 45 for 600+ yards. About 400 of those yards came on this play--

Any suggestions? Our DC is out of town and I'm trying to stop any future opponents from exploiting this weakness.

Use a 4-2-5 formation and set both linebackers to man coverage on the HB. Position the MLB like you have on your replays (center) and the other linebacker near the TE (where the HB will be running towards). Keep the MLB central just in case they run the HB draw play.

Several different zone defenses work well against it.

Also, LBs tend to have a delay before initiating man coverage against RBs.

You have a few options if you wish to use man coverage against the play. Use the advanced sub system to have a very fast LB covering the HB.

Use the D creator to better position your coverage guys against shotgun.

Use the D creator to assign a SS or CB (if in Dime) to cover the HB.

Looks like the hb is not covered. get a man on him, a player that have enough speed.

yeah, you had two CB's on the WR and the HB ran free

if they never rush from it, run a dime and put a cb on the hb.. you can also run a nickel and man up the mlb on him and send the lolb into the strong middle zone

another question to the first replay. Why are the SS and the CB2 falling down? They were not blocked...
