I have 31 blocking. Not sure if it makes much difference but I got it.

My DE has 29 blocking. I have no idea if it does anything either.

23 for my superstar DE.

Doesn't seem to make a big difference.

hmm... 31, 29, 23... and we're "convince" it doesn't work.

I wonder how we would feel when someone posts: "I have 23 agility and it doesn't make a difference to my DE"

Personally, I am banking on blocking to work off strength. I am trying to have my DE to have 70+ str and 50+ blk. I have to say, as I up the str, blk, and Heavy Weight I noticed my DE shedding a lot more blocks. But I'm not going to make judgments until I have a longer period of standard deviation.

Mentioned in each d-line build. I'm sure someone who cared could find the original posts by Bort and DD.

I would never take blocking higher than 30 for a defensive player, and more the 25 is probably excessive. Something trainable, but no reason to put points into it.

Deebo and players of his time had it.

My NT has increased blocking from about 25 to about 35 over the last 2-3 seasons and he's become a much more dominant force over that time, but whether thats to do with blocking or increasing other attributes (mainly vision/confidence/speed rather than agility/strength, which have only gone up slightly in that time), or due to VAs for D-line being pretty good (Heavyweight 4tw!). It can't help if you've got a few SPs lying about, especially when you're getting to the high levels where you already have all your key stats capped to their varying levels.

Wouldn't recommend triple capping blocking though!!

Any increase in blocking might easily be worth 7 points in a season. On helping someone else take an INT/fumble back for a TD!

I never said I thought it didn't work. If I thought that, my DE would have 16.21 blocking, the minimum allowed for his level. There just aren't any good training pairs for blocking left for my DE, since his training values for strength and agility are at 6% and 4%, respectively. The only time he ever trains blocking is when he's searching for AEQ.

We've all heard it. But then again, we all hear lots of things that don't turn out to be true.
