Just wanted to drop in and say that I will be selling the team in the next couple days. I want to give everyone on the team notice before pulling the trigger. I've enjoyed my time up here and really wasn't even considering it before today but I've just had enough.
Please, out of respect for the players do not contact them until after the team is sold. We have all agreed that any team that contacts players before then will automatically be eliminated in any free agent decisions so that players don't get bombarded with PMs.
I have invested a ton of time and money into this game and the only thing I seem to be getting in return is a lot of frustration. This season we went with an all zone defense, everyone went with zone defender VA and after watching some of scrimmages identified a huge bug where receivers wouldn't be picked up by defenders when they were in the zone areas. Anyway, Bort said it wasn't a bug and that players aren't supposed to cover receivers when they run through there zone and I simply wasn't under that impression. This season I designed 70 custom plays, a massive AI with hundreds of outputs for both offense and defense and was very excited. Overall, the sim looks good but is very buggy this season but as a team owner I don't feel like I can start over after spending over 50 hours the last two weeks getting this set up and don't think we can be very competitive with so many wasted VAs. I'd like to keep the team to see what we can do in season 10 but we don't have enough money to compete and a bad season will just make the problems worse.
Anyway, best of luck to you guys, sorry to sell in season but it wouldn't be fair to my players to have an owner that no longer cares, they have been way too good to me over the 8 seasons we've been together to hold them hostage.
