My top 10.

1. Silverymoon Elves - Only undefeated team, someone has to knock them off
2. Torrance Spartans - Last 4 wins were against #2-5 in Eastern Conference
3. Las Vegas Legends - Poor loss to Anchorage only blemish except Silvery
4. Tucson Nighthawks - Were #2 until loss to Las Vegas, is offense legit?
5. N.H. Hounds - 6-1-1 since loss to Miami, loss to Torrance, tie to playoff bound(?) Lone Star
6. Miami Canes - 8-1 in last 9 while acquiring great talent, best overall O-line
7. Dallas Strikers - Closest attempt at Silvery, but has bad loss to Portland
8. Anchorage Maulers - Solid team with only bad loss early on to San Diego
9. San Marcos Rivermen - Good record, but against lesser teams, well drawn schedule
10. Raving Mad Dawgs - Poor chemistry can be overcome with their talent acquired

Out - New Orleans Golden Kangaroos - Bad tie to Charlotte drops them from top 10

Noted and acknowledged that SM Rivermen got screwed by 1 or 2 spots due to only seeing part of their schedule. Comment is wrong, but won't be removed til the next game for purpose of fill disclosure. More appropriate comment would be: All 3 losses to top 5 teams, and by a grand total of 7 points (1, 3, 3)

Thanks for doing this. In the future, this is all you need to say about the Silverymoon Puffincrushers:

The Rivermen have an easy schedule? Did I miss something or do we all play the same schedule except the last game?

Touche', my apologies to the Rivermen. I saw the remaining of AP, Omaha and Key Largo (combined record 8-31) and saw it as weaker.

I just threw it together. It'll obviously be better in 2 days when we have another game. I looked at different things from each team and didn't use all aspects for all teams. I saw 8-31 and figured you should go 3-0 easy, weak schedule there. I saw from my own team (and yes, I'm a part of the Canes and am suspect to favoritism) the 8-1 in the last 9 after a lot of acquisitions were made. Silverymoon obviously was based on undefeated. Raving Mad Dawgs have come on strong, but could get stuck in a bad 2nd round matchup against Silverymoon in the playoffs due to their slow start.
It's all subjective and I'm more than willing to take input, I just wanted to throw an idea of a Top 10 together that wasn't the top 15 based on record alone.

hey, we dont see you creating power rankings or what not.

we dont need your smart ass comments thrown around.

give credit when credit is due.

he took the time to type this up. Im not being biased because he put our team #2. Even if he ranked my team #10 i wouldnt care, because honestly its just a ranking. Season isnt over, ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs.

I do somewhat smile at these efforts as coming from Oceania AAA we've been spoiled on an excellent power 5 and three man statistical analysis team breaking down our division every game. All these efforts seem badly organised in comparison, and the reasoning is very shaky as a lot of the teams are being judged on early season games in what is a first season division. First four games are pretty much a write off as things go as teams were still working out and shaping their squads. We've also got a number of oddity teams that match up well to certain opposition tactics who throw a spanner into the works of everything.

Having not made a careful analysis of the East yet I couldn't hazard a guess how they match up, but for the West i'd say it looks something like this.

1#~Silverymoon Elves-unbeaten heading into week 14, best balanced offence in the league coupled with a very good rush D and solid pass D. Have their weaknesses in the starting roster at a few positions but with their strength in depth and overall quality they're firm favourites

2#~Las Vegas Legends-only losses in two close (ish) games against top teams. A team that has built well and has the depth to play strong all through the playoffs. Balanced O and D gives them an edge on the majority of teams but an inconsistant kicker/punter can see them bogged down in games where they are held to tight margins and little yardage. Are prone to struggle against high level D-lines and this can cause their offence to stall. Have red zone issues with poor conversion rate once they get inside the 30.

3#~Anchorage Maulers-only above Tucson due to their development on D recently and their good red zone conversion %/kicker combo. Decent passing game and solid rushing give them a good P/G ratio. Kick for position well, and carried by a kicker accurate from 30-40. Convert on 50%+ of visits inside the opposition 20. Rush game prone to stalling against solid D-lines but gives just enough to keep them ticking over. D is still suspect, mainly to extensive pass teams, and dragged down further by a Mad Scientist owner who continues to tinker with stuff when he doesn't need to . MAD DAWGS loss a bad one in recent weeks.

4#~Tucson Nighthawks-best defence on a budget in the league, killed by an awful team chemistry compared to the top 3 and an awful kicker/punter combo. Offensively provide a strong rush game and decent pass game, only prone to struggling when they face well organised D. Have good results and consistancy but have lost to the Legends recently and will likely get blown out by the Elves later in the week by about 15 points (most of that by FGM).

5#~Austin Lumberjacks-late boosting team that have come on nicely in the 2nd half of the season and look set to do well. Solid passing and decent rushing on O allows them to make good yardage, and their win over the MAD DAWGS last week gives them the edge on the #5. Solid rush D is only let down by a weakned pass D that costs them against the top teams in the division.

Reasoning for leaving out the MAD DAWGS is the fact they early boosted and the D is now weakened to a stage they're are beatable, league position now flatters them.

Reasoning for leaving out the Strikers, they're too pass reliant, and with this reliance they have an expoitable weakness, stop the pass, stop the Strikers.

The OPR is great to have, it's a good inside look at how the owners see the league. This is just another man's look at the information we all have access too. If the top 10 win their matchups tomorrow evening (excepting 1 plays 8, 7 plays 10) then there will be a little bit of a shakeup. Unless blown out, 8 is likely to stick to 10 spot, if 7 loses, they're likely to stay in, but #9 San Marcos is going to jump because they did get screwed in my initial look.

I'm no more qualified than anyone else to put this together, I was just bored and actually did it. I'll get better for the rest of the year, I promise.

Even though your a lil rough on the AP, i like this thread, now we have a Top 10, AP 15, and Owner 10 rank system.

I think you dont like the AP due to the Canes being ranked lower than you think they should, wich is perfectly fine.

Keep up the good work, We should combine the threads at one point so people can get a look at how diffrent or similar the ranks are, (probably pretty similar is my guess).
