Last Week- 10-6
Overall- 10-6

E-City Mercenaries (1-0) at. Paris Philharmonics (0-1)
The Mercenaries played a great game against the Musketeers. Now they have to play another Paris team. This Paris team doesn't seem to be as tough as the other one. I expect the Mercenaries to get another W here. They beat the Musketeers in OT, but I don't see them going to overtime against the Philharmonics. Look for E-City to win big.
prediction: E-City wins 44-20

Belfast Commandos (1-0) at. Woodridge Lumberjacks (0-1)
I still can't believe that I have to talk about Woodridge as being pure crap. But it is what it is, the days of the Woodcutters are over. The Commandos will have no problem against Wujax, and the game should be over fairly quickly. If you like watching teams get slaughtered then this one is for you!
prediction: Belfast wins 110-17

Portland Rage (1-0) at. Footballforum Fighting Danes (1-0)
This is a rematch of last seasons AAA conference championship, one where the Fighting Danes fell in defeat. This is a whole new ball game in WEPL. This is also Portland's second game in a row against a fellow promoted team. So they still will not be able to prove they can play with the best in the biz. This should still be a good game, coming down to the wire. However, I'm going with my team in this one, and Portland will be getting the best of Footballforum once more.
prediction: Portland wins a close one.

Turin THUNDER (1-0) vs. Bonn Dynamo (0-1)
Turin shocked the world by beating the Rivals Mainboard Pimps by 5 points. The Pimps went ahead with 1:42 to go, and victory was looming. Then Turin scored just 29 seconds later and sealed the victory. Bonn was tied with Antwerp with just under 4 minutes to play, and the Annihilators scored to win their game as well. This game can go either way. Historically I know that Bonn has had a tough time handling Turin, but that is only in the playoffs. In the regular season Bonn finds the way to win. That is what I see happening here. Bonn wins, but better start praying that they don't face Turin in the postseason.
prediction: Bonn wins 27-20

Greenwood Alley Cat (1-0) vs. Aberdeen Wrecking Crew (0-1)
Probably my worst prediction of the first week was the Wrecking Crew over the Bluebirds. Cardiff absolutely destroyed the Crew, and made me look quite foolish(although I do a good job of that myself). Greenwood played a good game against BFM, and quelled any thoughts of them going undefeated another season. For these reasons I'm picking the Alley Cat to beat the Crew. Gotta go with our biggest rivals in this one.
prediction: Greenwood wins, 44-21

Paris Dream Bolts (1-0) at. West Whales Warriors (0-1)
The Dream Bolts(or Boats as we like to call them), barely squeaked out a win against the Black Knights of Edinburgh. Now they face the Warriors, who were unable to squeak because the Ballers stomped on their windpipes. I see the Boats having a much better game this time around, and really sticking it to the Warriors. Warriors will be the ones dreaming in this contest, dreaming they didn't have to play!
prediction: Dream Bolts win it 57-17

Team Perkis (0-1) at. London Monarchs (0-1)
Things are not looking good for either of these teams, but one of them has to win this game. I'm going with Team Perkis to win, because it seems that London isn't going to be winning much. Perkis didn't show up either, but I think that they will be better then the Monarchs will. Not much to really say, I don't think either of these teams will go far this season.
prediction: Team Perkis wins 45-14

GAME OF THE WEEK!!!

Graz Grizzlies (1-0) vs. Hattgenstein Volunteers (1-0)
Hattgenstein had a great win over the Divots, and Graz showed us why they are the champs with their win over the Hitmen. I am still not totally sure about my GAME OF THE WEEK!!! , but I couldn't let two promoted teams take the slot, so I went with the Graz Grizzlies and their 22 game winning streak. I think Hattgenstein will fare better then the Hitmen, but I still see the Grizzlies putting a fair beatdown on the Vols. Hopefully this week gives me a little more insight into the minds of WEPL, and I will really get to know the teams in a few weeks.
prediction: Graz goes to 23 in a row, winning 45-20

Another good writeup, LRats. and some fun games this week. Rage/Danes and Thunder/Dynamo in the same week? Too much to handle.

Nice write up.

I'm hoping that the Vols can keep it a little closer than that, but great write up either way.

sucks we still don't have a zeta prediction thread. what i think would be cool is if we made a thread for everyone to make their zeta predictions and then keep track of each participant's overall record. would any of you participate if i set it up before each game?

Yeah, Turin, this is the regular season so just go ahead and lay down like you normally do, go crawl in your hole and wait for the playoffs, lol.

I FDC and crew got fed up with some posters late last season and took exception. I don't want to speak for them, but that's my impression.

By the way, did we ever find out what show FDC was writing for? Inquiring minds want to know!
