ok i know it takes a while to make a legit Dual Threat HB, but i think i have it down, and my OC has been utilizing it to the max.

Example 1: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=501873&pbp_id=3755549

The defense is playing a regular nickle D. we go twins to the weak side causing a shift in the defense. the TE does a quick slant causing the LOLB to take the TE leaving my HB wide open. now at this point its basically a foot race between my lvl. 39 HB and the lvl. 36 FS and lvl. 36 CB.

Example 2: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=552225&pbp_id=2915195

here is another on except there are 5 CBs and the inside one is man on the TE while the MLB blitzes leaving my HB open again.

Example 3 http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=552225&pbp_id=2922867

we acually ran this play twice, both for TDs. just a normal nickle defense with only a MLB, but this time the LB drops back inot coverage and he takes the TE while my HB going at full speed while the CB has to gain momentum and catch up, but he doesnt and my HB blows by him.

i'll try and find defensive formations where this doesnt work and i'll keep you guys posted

Well, since DMP did it:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=311713

I'll be cracking 10K career receiving yards shortly.

(Cue DMP complaining that I'm not technically a dual threat :rolleyes

ummmmm, you arent a dual threat.

Both RBs on my team our dual threats, if you use them right they are a huge weapon.

Strong Flood and HB streak out of shotgun are the best for them imo.

If you have the Scat Back VA, I highly recommend the HB Wheel route (its a HB Med pass). Usually you get covered by an LB who you blow by with the spd/agi boost from Scat Back.

It doesn't matter what HB you build Its all playcalling.

PROOF:

Same AI 3 different teams. HBs are the TOP Players of the game in each:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=523649
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=546154 (AAA league, not even a level 48)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=499829 (yeah we lost, but look at our roster...BTW that's a vision elusive build)

Its really not building a dual threat HB, its your OC.

Yeah, scat back can be good since the boost is while running the route. I just think that the HB is ussually in front of the LB most of the time and more in QF or slippery would help get past that Safety.

I may have been too harsh on the "waste" comment, but the HBs on my team get the job done without it. Maybe because i want them to have VAs that activate for run plays as well. because our receiving HB runs the ball every game as well.

Big Heart + Scat Back for those who are in the lower leagues slated for repeated promotion/dumps into the lions den. It won't matter who the hell is covering you.
