So it seems that Ball Hawk is the number 1 VA for CBs.

What comes next? I'm not so confident in Long Reach now that WR's get a VA (Sure Hands) that completely nullifies it (they get +5% each point, we get +3%). I've been looking at Clutch, 3rd Down Stopper, and Show Boat.

Each of these could have a better effect on beating Sure Hands by putting up a constant percentage increase on pass defense. Show Boat could be useful in punishing a WR after a couple of PD's (in each game my own CB has gotten multiple PDs on the same WR, could be useful).

Thought?

Not ball hawk IMO.

The question is what VA after Long Reach.

I'm still putting my VA into football genius because 0.5% still seems worth it to me. This raises my vision about 4 points which seems better to me than having a %chance of a %chance of doing something obscure.

I'm leaning that way myself.

I've personally gone for 15 in Ball Hawk, 15 in Clutch and 7 in football genius. When I'm done with football genius I will go onto Long Reach...

Reason Ive gone for clutch is because the way the description reads, if you have 15 points in it, you're almost guaranteed to have a bonus to something (problem is, who knows what?) late in the game on 3rd and 4th downs... couple this with Ball Hawk and More and more vision, can only be a good thing. When I get to about level 60 and have long reach in there as well, you may as well not bother passing that way.

As ineffective as many of the VA's are, I'm starting to wonder if Attributes aren't still the best way to go, even in their gutted state? Especially Football Genius/vision.

yeah i still don't think ballhawk is half as good as people try to make it seem.

but then again i'm outleveled by 10-15levels in my AA league right now and might need the boost anyways

I don't know, I just like trolling guys who troll me. personally I like ball hawk and 3rd down stopper.

I went 3rd down stopper.

Since bort admitted Ball Hawk will work 5-6 at the most, I don't think it is really worth it. Long reach seemed to reduce my PDs, so I don't like that one either.
