Can anyone tell me why both LOLB and SS pickup the TE and leave the HB to run free?

Assuming that isn't a custom play that you made, the SS and LOLB will always cover the TE first, even if it means doubling him. You need to leave another LB available to cover the HB. You can also just blitz the LOLB instead, which will have the SS on the TE and the MLB on the HB.

OR you could make a play with the Defensive Play Creator and assign the individual coverage responsibilities.

3 Words - D-Play-Creator. There is no reason to not use it on every defensive play ran. It keeps problems like this from happening

the bigger question is why didnt that lame ass qb pass it to the HB
