61 vision baseline gameplay:
So, before third capping I wanted a baseline game. I was surprised to see that the running was not very elusive at all. 99 elusive ussually meant lots of dancing. but my back isn't doing anything anymore. My back had a 2.9 yard average game when he was running on 99 elusive with 61 vision in a previous scrim. the rest of our runners averaged less than 1.9 YPC in an ass beating. If you watch the play by play, he has lots of 3.5 yard carries, and as many 2.5 yard carries as 4 yard carries. with a couple no gains or .5 yard gains. But by looking at the play by play, you see that he is running pretty consistent.

another beating, but i managed 6.2 yards per carry....but on only 3 carries.

THIS DOES NOT LOOK LIKE 99 ELUSIVE. He just sees a lane and keeps going straight. THis looks more like power running. no dancing or elusivity.

^^ this is just good defense.

I think 3rd capped vision makes your back commit to the hole earlier and not get scared of the further defenders. But its hard to tell with only 3 carries of 67 vision. more to follow on the next scrimmage, i will just update this page.

P.S. I was not in the depth chart in the first scrimmage, so thats why there was no video on that one.

after looking at the video...should i try super elusive with 67 vision? want to have a constant, but this video is not showing me anything in terms of being elusive. He is just finding holes quicker and getting through them (or at least trying...I need some strength to see if i can clip a tackle. Lots of plays there the safety prevented the big play)

Last season I had better results with high vision. I am thinking vision is needed for SE.

Its hard to make a vision experiment because it takes until level 40 until you have your build near where you want it...and you have to account for differences in the sim each season.

But if you had 15 vision and ran on 99 or SE....you would not like your results.

Might as well while you've got preseason games to burn. My higher speed/agi 48 vision hb has been doing fine with it.

I would like to see the results of you going super elusive with your HB cptafw. Mines been running SE since it was released and he only got capped vision last season so I would like to see how your HB would do with much higher vision. Also, it would be good to see how very close speed/agility affects it. Mine is at 96/79, so it's not very close, but close enough to be effective IMO. Great dedication to the experiment though tbh.

My HB's slow build team went 3-13, but he still ran well on Super Elusive averaging 6.7 ypc with vision in the 20s. He made great open field cuts such as these:

Viscount, all of the replays you have shown there is the HB making a move on players when he is already into the second-level and he is one-on-one with a guy in his face. What cpta is looking for is a back who can spot where the pressure is going to come on the line, make the adjustment and hit another hole; a back who can reverse the hole direction of a play by running off-tackle to the right but spotting a massive hole between the LT and the LG and cutting back into that and making the play.

While I am not trying to say that you are wrong in any way to be pleased with what you've got there - 6.7 ypc on a 3-13 team is an excellent showing - but I think you guys are looking at different things.

Well unfortunately my HB never rushes inside so I can't show any examples of that, he only ever has the choice of going inside the CB or outside him.

Looks like too much vision actually...
