Watch some games and figure out how your player performs. Figure out which VAs would have most impact on YOUR player. I have ideas for my players because I have watched games and have a fair understanding of their strenghts and weaknesses.

You can take the advice of stranger who have never seen your player or you can learn to think for yourself and have some fun.

Clutch has its one drawback. It is for 3rd & 4th down only

15 Sure Tackler (60% chance to reroll tackle)
10 Ball Hawk (20% boost to Spd, Agi, Vis after ball is spotted on passes)
10 Jackhammer (30% chance to knock ball away)

If you do attribute VAs
15 Tackle can get most Safeties 3-5 points
15 Vision can get most Safeties 3-6 points

You gotta go zone specialist and ball hawk. Look at all the bonus you get from those two alone, working together.

Wouldn't expect that from you. There's some nice HH VAs this season.

Even though a MAJOR part of run support for a SS. These 2 are the best VAs for any DB. These can basically give Run Stuffing SS a chance to get to the ball on pass plays better...

and for SS's who where made to be fast/quck pass stoppers first and still adequate enough to support the run. This VA basically makes us even better at our primary build job, and lets us use SPs "round out" our build for a season.

Even thoguh my SS has Speed, agility, and vision 3 capped. He only has strength/ tackling to the 1 cap. If i was so in inclined i could in theory start putting more points into either strength, or tackling (i'm leaning toward tackling at this point)

Or if i wanted to even be BETTER in pass situations i could finally soft cap my jumping first then go after tackling/ strength (currently 41)

So basically think of it this way. even though these are pass coverage VAs, they can still help out diff. builds for different purposes.

I like Ballhawk for a SS, but Zone Specialist seems conditional on how you're used in the defense. I'm considering possibly taking Jackhammer over Zone Specialist, but we'll see . . .

it's certainly conditional, but my SS tends to be in zone maybe 10 times a game ... maybe a tad more... but no less. And from what i've seen, the 2 combined might make the occasional PD to a constant PD in those cases where it's passed near my zone... and even more INTs ... it's something i'd be willing to run with.

Now isn't this ironic, I'd rather have Jackhammer than Zone Spec for a SS myself. I do feel like Ball Hawk is basically mandatory for anyone who plays coverage now, though.

I'd rather have 0 jackhammer and see my S.S. jackhammer anyway, and have zone specialist.

The DC on my team uses my SS almost consistently in run support -- pretty much as another LB. He advises a combination of Sure Tackler and Power Tackler. The guys with this other team are getting 2+ forced fumbles in scrimmage games with this combination.

He also suggests throwing Jackhammer into the mix for defending the TE.

Just 2 cents.

My SS had 3 tackles for 3 FF in his most recent scrimmage, against competition that outleveled him 3-4 levels. All thanks to the buffs given to Power Tackling/Helmet Crash.

The only thing worth a shit about this would be power tackler. And that's if the S.S. had enough str and tackling for it to matter.
