Not even a week ago Sherman Oaks signed lvl 5 FS Shawn Thompson and best friend lvl 5 CB Cory James to 100,000 contracts just to find out yesturday afternoon that they have been blind sided when they saw they they were both being trade to 2 different teams..The trade never went thru with Thompson but his Best firend Cory James trade did go threw and is no longer with the team...Today Thompson was asked to redo his contract for less money today, here are Thompsons comments on his current team and situation...
Shawn Thompson" I dont understand why a team would offer 100,000 plus contract(money they dont have). To show how poorly this team is managed 9 players are taking up 1 million dollars combined.They try trading me(without my knowledge) and right when im ready to move on to my "new team" they cancel the trade and ask me to take a pay cut...I still cant figure out why would they offer me a contract if they dont expect to honor it? They trade away my best friend,try trading me away(without my knowledge) and then deciding not to when they see that I would redo my contract for my would of been new team, and now they ask me to take less money?? I am telling you Sherman Oaks is the worst ran team in the league,this crap is not just going on with me but with other teamates of mine..My contract ends at the end of the year and I cant wait to get out of this hell hole.....Funny thing is, I would have taken a below average contract right off the bat to sign with these guy back when I was a FA but they offered a huge contract'..
