Helping you calculate the amount you'll probably have to put down on a security deposit for an apartment. Also helping you calculate how much you'll get upon moving out. Ways to maximize the amount also.

Hey, can you give me a sample? I don't want to join until I know exactly the sort of information I will be getting.

GIEFF, if this info were given publicly there would be no need for a PF.

Let's say you live in an apartment in Los Angeles, CA. A 1+1. Now, you moved out on March 31st, but you didn't give your 30 days notice. Your rent is $950 and you pay $50 for parking. You were up to date when you left.

-You're going to be charged April and May's rent and parking.
-You'll probably be charged $345 for painting
-$65 for cleaning
-$120 for carpet cleaning

That's a total of $2530. That's if they don't charge you late fees and the monthly $3 SCEP fee.

Ways to Save:

-Painting yourself before you leave. You'll probably spend $60-100 painting yourself, but you'll save on the markup and labor charges.
-Cleaning. It's free and you'll feel better about yourself afterwards.
-Rent a carpet cleaner. These are as cheap as $30 a day.
-Always give your 30 day notice.

That's a total savings of roughly $2400 just by joining this private forum.

*Does not include late fees or SCEP fees saved.
