My SS has a banked piece of AEQ with big hit... and I just rolled another. I already have a piece of +3 agility, +1 Super Vision gear that has 40 BT on it. Would it be worth it to have two pieces of Big Hit gear? Or do you think I should just keep one and try rolling a few more times for a third piece of AEQ?


And, normally I'd say that 3 pieces of AEQ is too much... But my SS seems to get really lucky with shopping, so I'm pretty sure I'll have enough BT to keep up with three long term...

not really he only has like 20 str.

and the super vision piece is pretty amazing. what are the stats for the big hit items?

If you roll them early enough in a players career, I'm pretty sure you can... And the Big Hit items don't have + stats. I have them both (might as well, right?) but I'll probably use an extended offseason down the line to try and reroll a better piece eventually.

You should earn about you can get 2 BTs every 5 days, so that's 16 during the season. If we avg a 10 day off-season that's 20 BTs a season or 2.5 upgrades.

In your first 4 seasons you should reach ~lvl 32 which means you would need 15 upgrades. But you would have only earned enough BTs for 10 so you are 5 upgrades behind. At this point you get about 5.5 levels each season which means you hit an equipment level every season and a half, over which time you will earn ~ 4 upgrades so you will pick up one "extra" upgrade at each equipment level. So basically you will catch up when you are level 72, which would be your 12th season. I guess you might catch up a little earlier depending on how the season 10 level-off period ends up being implemented.

Of course this is assuming you spend no time rolling for items, when in reality you could easily take a full season to get 3 good items. It might be possible to do 3 items, but its really close and takes forever to really payoff.

well not that 3 preseason games are any indication... but my FS on power tackle hasn't gotten any FF's (playing dudes 5-10 levels higher though) BUT he is getting 33% Big Hit Tackles for every tackle made. (5 out of 15) He has 6 in Big Hit with the AEQ. I didn't keep track of it last year, but I might this year just cause I'm curious. His other piece is a blank +Change Direction piece that works rather nicely.
