Being as we mostly play pass coverage and since they've nerfed the attributes, what VA's does everyone think of going with? A few that pop into mind are:

Ball Hawk - This will give you +30% to speed/vision/agi on passes
Second Wind - Definitly an advantage but only for 1 quarter of the game
Long Reach - Almost half of passes your way will be rerolled if missed. Should significantly increase the amount of PD and INT's
Showboat - After enough attempts, this will make huge difference. The problem is do we seen enough passes our way to make this effective.
Intimidation - This will also give you an big edge late in the game given you have enough points into those SA's

I may have also missed 1 or 2 that may be useful. But overall, which one should I cap out first?

I know nothing about LOLBs and am not the most experienced agent, but I imagine Ball Hawk is pretty much a must in order to cover those speed TEs that also take it...

Ballhawk and Jackhammer would really do a number on the TE's that seem to build like WR's I imagine.

I went with Brick Wall for my LOLB.
He doesn't seem to have much trouble handling TEs and I think keeping the ball carrier from getting a couple of extra yards here and could be pretty valuable.

I can understand wanting to sure up our weakness in the run game, but I've played TE's that are much more suited to be WR than TE's. I'm thinking Ballhawk is the way to go followed by Long Reach

Ditto.
I'd also recommend at least 7+ Swat Ball SA.

Below is what I did for one of my LOLBs when I reset. I haven't had a chance to test it on the field yet.

Pass Rusher Abilities
Trash Talk: 2
The Glare: 3
Shed Blocks: 4
Swat Ball: 7
Big Sack: 1

Veteran Abilities
Ball Hawk: 15
Long Reach: 15
Third Down Stopper: 4

Plus he has +13% Deflect Ball Chance from his AEQ.

I don't think third down stopper is nearly as useful as a lot of people are making it out to be.

they all basically suck. Quick is probably still the best.

I went with Ball Hawk and power tackler. Rest went into sure tackler

After tonight's reset, I think I'm going to max out ballhawk and jackhammer...then begin on one of the "tacklers," but I'm not sure which one yet.... (Although I might consider long reach since I have AEQ of Shutdown Coverage and will ipgrade it agin before the season starts. That would be a nice "coverage" LB.)

When I was a LOLB last season, I never really saw any good use out of Jackhammer. Maybe because the TE's would have enough strength to overcome it? Either that or my LB wasn't right on the receiver and at that point he was just the ball carrier

The whole purpose of Ball Hawk is to not allow the TE (or anyone else) to make the catch in the first place. If you put points in Jackhammer or any of the tackling skills, your giving up the point that he's going to catch the ball anyway.

I can understand wanting to maybe put points in a tackling skill to help balance yourself in the running game, but we're pass defenders first making me want to lean towards Long Reach as a secondary skill to max out. If I can get to the play with Bawl Hawk but fail on the PD the first time, this gives me a chance to retry the roll again half the time. To me that's a huge advantage.

LOLB are pass defenders first eh? Even with 90 percent of the runs going that way. No wonder why running backs own teams.

Sure Tackler and Ball Hawk for my LOLB.
