I can't even use it, my DE doesn't have 50 Strength.

I guess I will have to use Jump the Snap, but I have 12 Vet Points, and can't even put them all in JTS, because he's not lvl 40 yet.

I have no idea what to do with the other vet points.

This is a joke, honestly.

My DE is still working on Spd+Agi, so I'm actually banking my VAs because Pass Rusher is that good.

you cant really say how effective it is until DEs have tried it out. but from its description, it seems pretty good.

one thing is sure, if it is in fact effective then it will be nerfed to correct that obvious mistake

lol that's true.

but honestly, I think all OTs are going to have Pass Blocker, so it's kind of a moot point.

My DE is in the same boat, but having less than 50 str is something that I can't complain about - I SHOULD have more. That said, it would be nice if there was more than just two or so VAs to actually choose from so that we could at least build differently.

No offense to you AT ALL, but I think the fact that your DE seems to be quite effective playing on the line without even 50 strength at level 36 says A LOT about the sim right now :-/ And not in a good way.

However, JTS I'm not sold on, as it only increases the chance of getting off the line at the right time. If your vision is high (like it should be, but with your strength, who knows... j/k, lol) then you shouldn't need JTS.

I am more sold on heavyweight.. the name is misleading, and it sounds like something for a big, strong player only, but it knocks down the blocker a % of the time when you break a block... and blocks can be broken with agility and speed.

It increases your CHANCE of knocking down the blocker. If you had a poor chance before, you still have a poor chance. Strength is one of the factors in knocking down another player, and if you have low strenght then Heavyweight won't help much. A stronger player has a much better chance of knocking down a player, so it will benefit a big strong player a lot more than it will benefit a small, not so strong player.

i think Bort put the Pass Rusher VA in to encourage more Strength based DEs. new cookie cutter DE build: Agility and Strength to 73 then Speed to 68, cap Vision and max Pass Rusher

My strength DE played one game with Pass Rusher maxed, and didn't do anything at all. Part of it may be that Bull Rushing is bugged, but he didn't engage the O-line at all on any of the 7 3rd and 4th downs passes that he was on the field for. He tried the big looping thing several times, and several other times he just stood in front of the O-Line but didn't go near them. Sucks too, because he should have had around 140 strength on those plays to go wth his 10 levels of strong base. It also didn't appear like the 30% agility boost did much for him at all. He was the same speed off the ball, and made the same tightness of turns etc as plays when it wasn't 3rd or 4th down. Although he does only have 62 agility, so the 18 points only took him to 80, and that may not be enough to show a big difference. I would have thought it would have made some difference though.

Maybe this is part of Bort's evil plan to keep D-Linemen nerfed. make a VA description tha sounds so good that none of us will ignore it, and then secretly make it so that VA turns your DE into a wuss who is scared of O-Linemen.

Hopefully somebody else will test this out on combo or elusive rushing and see if they have better results.
