I'm thinking Downfield Blocker is the best for a blocking tight end. Also Great Blocker is 0.5% so it is still somewhat useful.

Posted this in the WR forum:

Not confident that ball hawk will be that good on offense. If catching was getting upped, sure - but by the time the WR sees the ball I'm not sure a bonus to speed and agility will matter much.

If the throw is good, why would it matter? The ball will still arrive at the same time and the defender will have the same opportunity to make a play. On a bad throw I suppose it could help, but there aren't that many bad throws.

Sure Hands seems best.

I've got 8 in ballhawk and 12 in sure hands now (plus the 15 track star). I think I'll keep pumping them both.

Ballhawk is probably more likely to mess up route timing than help anything. It is a total waste for WRs and TEs.

the problem will be that a lot of CB/FS/SS will max out Ball Hawk.
to contrast this the only way is to max out it even for offense.
ok is it a temporary boost...but probably the only VA that not lose something.

VA on attributes at 0.3 or 0.5% are too poor now.
a waste of pts.
with 15 into 0.3% you have +3 if you complete 3rd softcap.

for a receiver TE, other VAs are:
Sure Hands...to gain a second chance to catch.
YAC attack...to break tackle for short passes.
Possession Receiver...to make a sure catch for short passes.

or more general
Red Zone Freak...work for all attributes but only in the red zone....another good one.
Prime Time Player...but how many pass did you see when you are 2 yards from touchdown?...= useless?!

This isn't accurate. The ball is going to arrive at spot X at time Y no matter what. Ball Hawk doesn't help you get open, and if anything will mess up timing routes since you'll get to the spot early and have to wait for the ball.

It will only help on bad throws, which are rare.

Beyond sure hands, not sure yet. I don't think much else would be useful.

Underdog boosts vision aswell, which helps with the catch.

Maybe underdog. If you maxed it then of a 20% vision penalty on more famous defenders in man 2 man for 3 out of 4 plays, if you're more famous than them you should be able to beat them anyway. Depends how important you think vision is, I think it's quite important to catching a pass.

In theory YAC attack could be useful, but I'd want to see some evidence before committing to it. Worth an experiment though.

Possession receiver would be worth it for (obv) possession guys rather than deep threats. Comeback kid maybe (only activates when you're behind, but if you're leading then you don't need it so much).

Get testing I think/

I decided to test out Ball Halk for these first two scrimmage games. I'm still interested in seeing how much it helps with deflections. I could only put 9 points into it but I'll let you all know how it goes.

Prime Time Player
This player makes the highlight reel all the time. Each level of Prime Time Player gives a +2% bonus to catching and a 4% bonus to jumping when in the endzone. Applies on both offense and defense.

Test was successful in that I now know without a doubt that I will not be getting Ball Halk after the second reset. In todays scrimage I had 5 passes thrown my way that reached me and then were deflected by a defender, all 5 of them went uncaught. So I don't see Ball Halk as boost to catching deflected passes. Also for the most part my TE was still slowing down to catch passes, not speeding up so the QB lead distance is still poorly done and thus the bonuses from Ball Halk are useless for offense.
