Ok here goes, I know this is a bit early especially seeing we don't know how the Sim is going to play out. But, at least it's a start.

16. Dallas Vaqueros-Dallas was able to avoid relegation by the skin of the teeth last year. No major earth shattering upgrades. With only 10 total wins in 3 seasons in USA PRO and a fair share of Major blow out losses they have shown that they aren't qualified to be in USA PRO. Of the returning teams in USA PRO west they had the Worst scoring offense and their D allowed more points per game than anyone. Looks like another long season for the Vaqueros. 0-16

15. Las Vegas Freebirds-The Freebirds had a horrendous season 8. Losing 8 of their final 9 games and only averaging 8 points per game over the last 6. Their Owner Frank Booth is positive going into the new season having added 4 new starters as well as a new OC and DC he has thinks his team is poised for a playoff run. Still in the toughest conference in GLB I don't see that happening. 3-13

14. Texas Roughnecks-It's always hard to place the new teams. Texas looks to have a decent squad but based on their scrims from last season against the Pro's that don't look quite ready to compete up here. This pick is fairly blind. 4-12

13. Parma Burglars-Major changes on the Burglars in an attempt to get back into the playoff hunt. Season 8 was a major nightmare for Runhard and his team. With only 4 w's on the season and none of them over a team with a winning record. Runhard feels that with all the new faces he is bringing in to the team they have a real shot for a playoff spot. I think the loss of Havoc is going balance out the new dots coming in another season without a playoff game is coming up. 4-12

12. Compton Vikings-The Vikings didn't have quite the year the predicted in season 8. There were some high points-wins over Chicago and BSB-but the playoffs were not really ever in the picture. While I'm sure the management there is doing every thing they can to make a playoff push this season, I just don't see them having the talent to get there. Both their offense and defense were too inconsistent to be a major player in the conference. 5-11

11. South Bay Spartans-Larry Smith and Co. had a solid season 8. Basically they were 9 points away from a 10 win season. Close loses to 3 playoff teams doomed them. The offense should be solid again, but I don't think they have the defensive weapons to make the post season. 6-10

10. SDL-Solid showing by Jax and the Lighting in their USA PRO debut. 9th place in this conference is nothing to be ashamed of. I see that the roster got a major revamping. I would be more impressed if they had merged with a solid USA PRO team as a opposed to a AAA team though. I hope the chem hit is worth the talent addition. Some epic defensive failures against the leagues elite teams has me leaning towards SDL being on the outside looking in at the playoffs again. 7-9

9. Chicago Hedgehogs-The Hedgehogs suprised me and pulled off a playoff appearance in the first season with the big boys by ending with a solid 4 game winning streak. WiSeIVIan is looking for a solid outing from his team and thinks they have a shot at a home playoff game. I can't get the blowout playoff loss out of my head they ended season 8 with though. I don't think the 2 new starters they have added are enough to put them back in the playoffs. 8-8

8. Bourbon Street Bullies- BSB snuck into the playoffs with an 8 seed last year and both Ctap and I see the same thing happening again. In an amazing move the Bullies have added a player, yep ONE. While not earth shattering this is pretty big news for them. I think this group of veteran agents has another playoff berth in them. 9-7

7. NY-CA Ground Pounders. The other new kid on the block in the west. These guys look like a solid team and they seem to have the most respect coming up from AAA. A solid W over SDL in a scrim combined with the 19-1 season last year is all I have to work with so far. 9-7

6. Spicewood Longhorns-The Horns high powered offense got them to the playoffs in season 8 and they should be able to ride the same wave this year. RJ414 thinks (depending on the sim of course) that he has an outside shot at a 13 win season. I think that standing pat roster wise and their defensive shortcomings equal out to a slightly less successful year. 10-6

5. Honolulu Hurricane Warriors-It took a huge turnaround for the Warriors to score a homefield play off berth last year. A mid season move to add some power to the backfield gave them the push they needed. I can't see the O being as sucessful this season. Defensively they are still among the elite in USA PRO. 11-5

4. Minnesota Marauders. Galk is looking at a USA PRO west title this year, I'm looking at a home playoff game. Minnesota has a balance team on both sides of the ball and can beat anyone on any given day. They would be a top 2 team in any other conference in GLB. 12-4

3. Lincoln Navigators-The Navs had a Very successful season 8. Until the playoffs hit. This team isn't built to lose in round one. Ddingo sees a 12-4 season coming up for the Navs and I think he is on the money. The biggest question I have is how are the going to replace Shonn Greene. The HB was one of the most talented players in the west. The solid Nav defense should be as tough as ever 12-4

2. Washington Wolfpack-The Pack are a top 3 team in GLB. Painmaker see's them being a home team on day 34 and I totally agree. A change at OC and DC should give the team a slightly different look this year, but still their talent is among the elite. Pain thinks the most important move the Pack made in the offseason was adding Asheme as the Designated poster for the squad 15-1

1. Monmouth Evil Monkeys. The Monkeys have beefed up a few positions and added a new OC. Here is hoping to a balanced sim for season 9 so our WR's get to show off again. The D is loaded and ready to dominate under Jdros13's leadership once again. 16-0

Thanks to all the owners that answered the questions I sent over. Also, the weekly prediction will be a bit different this season. RJ and I are doing them together. He is doing the Review of he last game and I'm doing the rankings and preview. We will both be giving predicted scores

Exactly, I said that I "DON'T think the 2 new starters they added are enough to put them back in the Playoffs"

great write up dude. SDL would be happy with an 8 win season but are looking to make a push for the playoffs this year.

Great writeup CV. Thanks!

The changes by the SDL have generally improved the quality of the starters at some critical positions, not the least of which is QB. Some better builds, a little more depth and a few more levels should pay off despite the team chem hit. Very good coaching staff and much improved team participation will result in an improved performance this season.

NY-CA looks a little under-leveled to compete with the top teams in the west, but the coaching staff is tops and builds are spot on - at least they were for S8. Who knows how S9 will blow things up. Making the playoffs in their first season in USAPro would be a huge accomplishment.

My feeling is both these teams, along with Spicewood and Chicago, will be competing for the 6-8 spots in the playoffs. One of these four teams wont make it. Just not sure who.

Well, we didn't merge with a middle of the pack AAA team. We merged with the AAA champions. They were gonna be here this year so it's like 2 Pro teams merged IMO. We'll see but I have us making the playoffs.

I understand that, BUT it still is a group of guys that would have been fighting for the playoffs also.

I think he liked his teammates and all so he followed them. He has access to our forum and all. He's a team friend or part of the organisation but has no player on the team.
