I know things change every season but I still am curious.
What should a level 50 SS concentrate on more of Strength or Tackle?
I'm at about 53.5 for both now.

Any comment about Tackling...
Is Tackling like Catching where more of it determines your "Range" of making a tackle?

Tackling > strength in my experience

IMO . . .

Tackling > Strength for the actual act of "tackling."

However . . .

Strength > Tackling for pass defense.

Depends what you value more.

Tackling >>> Strength as far as actual tackling may go. The jury is still out as to whether or not it's better for forcing fumbles... But I think that, worst case, you play at Normal/Power tackling instead and get a pretty similar percentage as pumping Strength, and you don't get dragged like you do on Wrap-Up. Strength is better for pass defense, but then again... I'd rather pump jumping/vision instead of either for that.

Tackling helps you tackle, the end. Cool story.

Strength helps you tackle
Strength Helps you in pass defense,
force fumbles.
Let's you run over people.
Other things I don't feel like getting flamed for.

Ect..ect..

you decide for yourself.

The way i've always seen it.
Strength= more fumbles but also helps tackling, and in pass efense
Tackling= Not missing tackles.

Do you guys recommend getting any more than 50 Strength? The 50 is for Jackhammer.

IMO I'd recommend 60+ tackling for anybody who makes upwards of 50 tackles a season. Personally, I'd also consider leaving strength low (which frees up a LOT of SP) and then utilizing the David vs Goliath VA to compensate accordingly.

strength helps gettin off a block in run support

as far as range, jumping has been linked to helping the "diving tackle" ability and making diving tackles. not sure if its true tho

as far as i know nobody has successfully formulated a FF player

My safety has 70 str and 44 tackling. I am not going to fucking up tackling to 60. just so he won't miss 11 whole tackles. He plays on power tackling every game. GTFO with that shit.

i'd rather pump up strength and use sure tackler rather than his idea.

is that 70 with or without equip, btw?

I'm not a fan of high tackling for a SS either--strength just helps you do more things than tackling does.

At what point would you stop adding to Tackle to go with Strength?

blahblahblah, have fun sucking in Pro in a couple of seasons. I've heard more about your SS than I've heard about most of my own players. Once you start to play decent teams with decent powerbacks, you're going to get crushed.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=460385

Remember that? Play against more backs like that, and you'll see your guy fail hard more often. You won't succeed against high caliber teams with 44 tackling while playing on power tackling. Don't say nobody warned you...

edit: And Underdogs... for all the shit you talk, you'd think you'd have something to back it up with... One player in Africa AAA and a bunch of players playing in A level leagues doesn't really inspire confidence =/ Not that I'm the best or anything, but meh.
