PLEASE LOCK THE OTHER THREAD I MADE. i messed up the title.

ok, i tried this before and by far it was the best GLB mock draft. then it went down after about 3 and a half weeks because of one person and his multi accounts. he decided to trade all the best players from 3 different team to his team and then on all those accounts he would troll and bash the forum. this time i will not tolerate it.

this is going to be a pretty complicated mock draft, so you need to follow the NFL, before you join. please i don't want anyone that doesn't follow the rules or doesn't know anything about the NFL. each owner will conduct a team of coaches. each coach will have a certain role they have to follow. (will post each role's jobs later). there will be a Free Agency, trades, a trade committee to veto bad trades so there isn't an Anquan Boldin for a 6th round pick trade, and a 7 round draft, where each team will pick in order who they feel will be best for the team.

here are the rules:

-one owner per NFL team. i will update the NFL team's list whenever someone picks that team on the OP, so please don't ask for the Patriots after someone asked before you, unless you want to be a coach

-the owner of each team must get himself a coaching staff of at least 3 people. if you cannot get 1 coach by the end of the day, i will kick you. if you cannot get 2 coaches by the 2nd day, i will kick you. if you can't get a 3rd coach by the end of the week, i will kick you. IT ISN'T THAT HARD TO FIND PEOPLE WHO LIKE FOOTBALL

-there will be a trade committee of 7 people, that i will pick myself and a reserve committee of 3 people.

-there will be a salary cap and a salary cap team (of probably about 3-4 people)

-if you post anything bashing the forum or the mock draft, you will immediately be kicked

-there will be a Free Agency

-there will be Trades

-no family members, multis, or friends. if i suspect that you have a multi in on this, i will not only kick you, but i will pm a mod or admin to check your IP address and end up banning your "friends" or "brothers". biggest thing that screwed up the last one. so might as well not risk your "brothers or friends" chances of getting banned.

Coaching Staff Jobs

General Manager (GM)- this will be the owner's right hand man. you will have pretty much every power and make executive decisions. just remember the owner, has the final say in everything

Offensive Coordinator (OC)- this will pretty much the offensive scout. you will help scout offensive players for the draft (review the combine and pro days and senior bowl), you will look for offensive FAs that will fit your system, and you will look for trades involving offensive players.

Defensive Coordinator (DC)- this will pretty much the defensive scout. you will help scout defensive players for the draft (review the combine and pro days and senior bowl), you will look for defensive FAs that will fit your system, and you will look for trades involving defensive players.

anything else the owner wants to make- if you would like more than 3 members on your staff (which will be the best way to go), you can make up other positions, like an over all scout, financial advisor to keep track of finances and salaries, etc...

so post in here if you would like to be either an owner, a coach (specify which coach), or a member of the salary cap team (i would love for a group of really intelligent math freaks to run this)

no. but you can be both. your choice

k cool, and I have another question.. could someone own another team then be a GM for a different team? Then the owner of the team you are GMing be one of YOUR Gms? Or would that be conisered cheap?

nah you can't do that. if you are a GM on one team or a coach on one team you cannot coach or own another team

alright, so I'm in, I just have to talk to my friend and see what team he wants to be, and who will be the owner and stuff like that.

hey guys, do you actually have knowledge about the NFL? i don't want to sound like a dick, but last one there was like 10 owners who didn't know anything and screwed up the whole thing that i spent countless hours on. cause if you are just moderate fans, who aren't like die hard fans or don't follow much about the NFL, a coaching position like a scout or something would be better suited for you

i don't know if you are talking about the real Jerry Jones and just joking...or if there is an actual member on GLB named Jerry Jones who you want to be your GM.
