When did Galarraga get traded to Detroit and when did he start pitching? Your question makes me think that you are thinking of Andres Galaragga, but this is Armando Galaragga, they have no relation yet they are both from Venezuela.
Galarraga was one of our best pitchers last year. He was traded at the beginning of the season last year, we sent a minor league player in return for him. He lead the Tigers in lowest ERA over 100 innings, as well as WHIP. Last year was essentially his rookie season, the only time appeared in the majors before that was for 8 innings with Texas the year before. He actually was pitching for 10 years before that, all in the minor leagues.

Of course I was. And I was (shocking) being sarcastic. Just playing along with the crowd.
Plus we have a terrible offense that has gotten much worse from last year, and still the same lousy management. The Tigers are easily the most underachieving team by a very large margin of anybody in the 4 major sports. Nobody gets less out of the talent and money spent than the Tigers franchise does.
I despise players of the type of guys like Josh Anderson, Adam Everett, Gerald Laird, and Matt Treanor, as well as giving up prospect arms to acquire them. In my opinion they aren't good enough to have a significant role on any major league team.

it's all about defense
we did make the good trade of matt joyce for edwin jackson
The Rangers offense is looking outstanding, even by our standards. If the middle infield comes to play this season and we get ANY kind of pitching who knows.
At least we now have someone in the front office who knows something about baseball
we did make the good trade of matt joyce for edwin jackson
Defense is good, but not when you downgrade hitting as much as we have, it's a negative net effect, and a large one.
As far as the Matt Joyce trade, I don't really want to get too deep into that. In short, I didn't hate the trade at the time, but I didn't love it, because losing Matt Joyce to me sounded like Marcus Thames and/or other interesting OFs (of which we have several options) would get more playing time, but instead it now opened up the opportunity for Josh Anderson to get that time, so now I'm pretty pissed off.
edwin jackson is a 14 game winner he was lights out the other night, and hitting didn't work last year when we were loaded not sure why you're worried about a few bad hitters
