Why would it bother us? Bort explained it in that thread.

I won't clutter up that thread, but if I read Bort's comments right he's saying that the slider gives the punter a +/- 10% angle change. His thoughts are that punters would change this tactic if they were facing a team with a strong PR, and so not care about the type of field position they might be in when punting.

I would much rather have the ability to tie the tactic to specific field position.
