Is anyone else having difficulty keeping up with finances even though you are paying your people reasonable salaries?

I have been upgrading my stadium as the season progressed, thinking that it would generate the extra revenue I need to pay my players as they progress as well as improve the stadium.

Instead, I will not have enough to pay my players the rest of the season and make upgrades in the off season. I will have to get a loan if I wish to expand.

Anyone else share a similar problem or have comments on this challenge?

It is a slippery slope for sure, one there is many opinions on in the GLB.

As you saw when Thrash started his Stadium tour, Nighthawks stadium (Thunderdome) was the smallest venue. We have added seats but we were a little more conservative than most it appears since we do indeed want to sign all our players.

There is a thread in the Main forums where people hash this stadium thing out. Good read.

Another question. What happens if you let your team go into debt? I was thinking
about going ahead and buying my expansion before I get too low on cash. This would put the team in debt by the end of the season. However, the influx of money from season ticket sales would immediately get us out.

Any thoughts?

If you have the csh I wouldn't see why it would be a bad idea. I have a high pay roll and will continue to have one so the upgrades will be essential to next season.

I have that same exact problem and it is difficult to balance that with stadium upgrades. The thread on stadiums was right; after the 3rd home game the ROI on seating expansion isn't worth it.

but before the season started got about 2 million for season tickets. I think we will get that again before next years starts. and if you bought more seats then i assume it will be even more. its what i been banking on

Me also, I am going to buy extra seats next year. If you have had a decent season you will have more people willing to buy season tickets

I have already sunk the money in the stadium expansion. The game is designed so that you can't go into debt expanding your stadium but you can paying your salaries. I'm willing to chance it for the ROI on the expansion.

Don't quote me, because I'm not an owner, but if you go into the red for a certain number of days, I think you lose your team.

If I were you, I'd think about a loan.

take a look at the last post on this page. Its by Randy03Texags and speaks to how an experienced owner has seen bort deal with debt by other owners.

What is everyone elses fan support at? My low income has skyrocketed up and I was just wondering if it varied per team or was pretty standard
