Would it theoretically work? I got a great peace of eq (+3 confidence, and 1 aura of Int). Should I take it or keep on rolling.

that's not a great piece. confidence isn't that important for DT and aura is ok but somewhat not understood so it hasn't really been very well evaluated.

I tested using an MLB with high (10+) Aura who would constantly blitz, figuring the Aura would extend to the O-line in front of him...the goal being to observe the effect on the d-line/o-line interaction.

In my view, it was a total failure. I am not sure that speaks conclusively to the topic, but it does give you some guidance.

give it a shot, you can always dump it later and try something else.

The aura makes it easier to tackle the opponent.. that's really about it. It lowers morale, but all the definition mentions is tackling.

So maybe your LB had less missed tackles, but that is the only way you could judge the effectiveness. AoI would be great for a DT or DE that doesn't want to put almost any points into tackling, as it has the same effect of 'wrap up' IMO. It just increases your chances to tackle.

Hypothetically speaking, a level 40 DE with 40 in tackling could have the same chance to tackle the opposition on wrapup, without AoI, as a the same DE, against the same opponent, playing on Power but with AoI.

Whether or not my example is feasible isn't my point, but rather the idea of my example is the point

Yes, it's an OK roll.... but as a DT doesn't get many chances to tackle anyway, it's not worth it... unless the aura is large enough that the runner is still being affected when other players make contact with him.

In theory, I imagine if the middle of the defense (NT, MLB, FS/SS) pumped AoI HEAVILY, then the majority of the field would be covered, so the ball carrier would almost always be under the effect, thus reducing missed tackles for your team - kind of like a form of "Motivational Speaker" where you're helping the whole team out by using it, but.... just a theory.
