Haven't really paid much attention to this guy, just trained punting/strength every few days.

Where do I put em? Current EQ will give +22 Punting / +1 Stength / +1 Calm Nerves / +4 Hang Time / +1 Big Boot.

You have lost leveling bonuses, you need to retire. Read the wiki guide on leveling to see why banking large amounts of SP is a mistake.

60 punting to 68 = 24 SP
to 73 = 20 SP
to 77 = 20 SP
---
64 SP, 66 left

conf to 48.5 = 11 SP
conf to 61.5 = 26 SP
conf to 68.5 = 21 SP
---
58 SP, 8 left

strength to 49, 3 SP left, sit on it.

Train agility + vision for... 2 more seasons? and put all your SP in vision to 60 whenever agility and vision have both trained up toward 30.

You've lost a lot of value, but at least the build is salvagable if you're willing to spend on punting all the way to 77. I think it is necessary... A level 24 should actually have 85+ base by now, but I can't recommend spending above the 5:1 cap for you..

It pains me to see people who do this to their players

Me too, doesn't matter what position, there are always people that think this is slowbuilding.

Yeah . . . this is actually the opposite of slowbuilding, but in recruiting for a cap 13 team I keep seeing "slowbuilds" that have destroyed their players because they don't know what they're doing.

i feel quite sorry for recruiters. i sometimes check "players looking for teams" or vice versa forums to check out builds around my level and just drop my jaw. Terrible builds all around.

Are you asking what's wrong with stockpiling SPs or asking what's wrong with the wiki?

Retire

You've completely wasted the +22.25 level up bonuses to punting and confidence.

stockpiling SPs

Every level, you get an automatic bonus to your attributes of 2 skill points spread evenly among your major attributes and 1 among your minor. By capping an attribute as early as possible, these automatic increases become worth much more (even more so by taking your attribute to higher caps).

For example:
Kicker A is level 10 and has never applied any skill points. He is gaining +1 to kicking every level.

Kicker B is level 10 and has capped kicking by level 3, second capped kicking by level 8, and is continuing to invest skill points in kicking. He is still getting that +1 to kicking every level, but for him that +1 is worth more since it now takes 3 skill points to raise kicking otherwise. That automatic level increase is worth 3x what it is for kicker A.
